Join us for a crisp October day in Pigeon, Tennessee, trying all NEW things we've never done before here - including the new Lost Mine Mountain Coaster, lunch at Local Goat restaurant, the Hollywood Wax Museum, Hannah's Maze of Mirrors, Outbreak Dread the Undead horror walk through & Castle of Chaos inside the Castle On The Hill at Parkway and Showplace, plus a stop to see Dolly's Stampede beautiful fall pumpkin displays and more - it's checkout day from our stay at Dollywood's HeartSong Lodge & Resort, and we head into town to have some fun - also includes a Lost Mine Mountain Coaster POV, so you can ride along with me on this unique alpine mountain coaster - they're totally different from normal roller coasters, and an updated walkthrough of everywhere we visit! So happy to share this beautiful, fun, weird and wacky day, in a place we have come to love as a home away from home, Pigeon Forge, TN, in Fall 2023! I swear, it’s entirely possible to visit Pigeon Forge three times a year for ten years and _never_ do everything! The Lost Mine coaster looks incredible, and that theming is above and beyond. Omg it has MUSIC even! So glad to hear that they allow wrist-strap GoPros, as some of the mountain coasters only allow chest mount and we always forget to bring ours. It just kept going and going! I think this might well be the best mountain coaster ever made…absolutely wild. 😍 Sounds like Outbreak is right up our alley, too; can’t wait to give that a whirl on a future visit! P.S. After seeing the wax museum exhibit I can’t resist adding, we grew up on ST:TNG but ST:Voyager is, was and will always be our favorite 😜

Love Pigeon Forge!! My nephew moved there years ago to be a dancer at Country Tonite. He now does tastings at a local moonshine distillery and has found his calling! Just love the laid back and friendly vibe in Tennessee!

Good to know about the castle connected to the Wax Museum. I’ve always gone through the Wax Museum in Branson, but never did the spooky stuff. I thought it was just the 5D thing.

I just went to Dollywood two weeks ago, stayed in Pigeon Forge and a night in Gatlinburg. I’m from California so this was a whole new experience. Thank you for making great informational videos. I definitely watched a bunch of your videos before my trip. They were very helpful. We also did the Skybridge. It was all amazing can’t wait to go back. Thanks again for this latest video. Love it.

They have changed the wax museum a lot since we were there about 10 years ago. Forrest Gump used to be on the bench. We LOVED Tennessee. We rented a lovely cabin right in the middle of the smokies

Hi, this was awesome. That Mountain roller-coaster looked so cool, liked the bears to😊 I didn't know they had the Wax Museum and Mirror maze there. We loved the Wax Museum and Mirror Maze it looks almost exactly like the one we went in on our Myrtle Beach vacation 5 years ago. We took pictures with King Kong and all that y'all did. We were in the mirror maze for a good 40 minutes or longer. We back tracked by accident once😂 This brought back so many memories I had with my Dad and my Sister. The zombie scare was hilarious with my Dad call the zombies names and talking to them, he made itvkess scary, because we don't like to much scare😅 Now we know we can do that again closer to home 😮😃😀 We loved the Wax Museum and the Mirror Maze was the most fun we ever had with my Dad on vacation. Thanks for sharing this, we definitely will do that when we go to Dollywood vacation in 2026 plan. Hope y'all enjoy all y'all adventures 😊 Be Safe Take Care😊❤

The way I remember the difference - stalagtites are on the ceiling because they are holding on tight, while stalagmites are on the floor because they "might" reach the ceiling :)

I've seen the King Kong a lot also when visiting, but I 've never been in that building. Thanks for taking the time and money to go in there and show us the experience. I thought some of the wax figures were going to move they looked so real! Yall are so funny. Loved the Zombie Outbreak description. I could never go in that. lol

Actually to make it more confusing. Try the speilothems in Carlsbad cavern. Basically most cave formations are created from calcium that builds up over time but Carlsbad’s cave formation are made from limestone not calcium and are much thinner. Stalagmites grow downward from the ceiling and stalactites are built from the floor of the cave. Just their placement and structure changes what they are called.

Stalactite, you have to hold on tight. Stalacmite, might grow to the ceiling. That is how you can remember. Columns are when a Stalactite and a Stalagmite grow together. We have a lot of caves in East Tennessee.

I was impressed with the wax museum. Not what I expected. Madame Tussauds in London was similar to this one. Wax figures all around for photo ops.

They made us sign a waiver! No one else does that! It was great though but I had second thoughts after signing the waiver! The coaster did seem a little lose on the track compared to others. The theming is awesome!!

Our family loves The Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster and Goats on the Roof Coaster! Both are very fast and so fun! My 10 year old just did a GoPro ride and it was hilarious! We've always wanted to try Local Goat, so thank you for the review!

Mountain coaster aka alpine coasters are a type of coaster that actually relies on gravity for the drops. They actually follow the actual terrain of the land they are on so are completely custom made on the site. There’s a couple in Germany and Switzerland. Dome are automated movement but the ones in the US are not as you can go as fast as you want without the brakes kicking in. besides the lift hills of course but chain driven not the pneumatic or the EM launcher. You rarely see these coasters outside of mountain or hilly areas.

What a fun day! Loved the wax museum but it was strange how they perfectly captured so many of the celebrities, but some were a total miss. I loved how they had it set up though, with the props etc.

Great video, Jackie!! Loved it!! The Wax Museum is so cool!! The wax actors look so real!! It’s amazing how they can look identical to the real person, but then there were some that didn’t look like the real actor!! I love that they had Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio) from Titanic!!So cool you got to take a picture next to him!! I saw that there is a Titanic Museum there!! that would be so cool to go in there!! lol I love how Sam was impersonating The Rock!! So funny lol!! I’m so glad you and Sam had a great time!! They threatened, I mean announced, they were going to build one of those wax museums in our local tourist trap. That was about 5 and a half years ago and they haven't turned a shovel of dirt. I met Bridgit from Girls Next Door and she was the nicest, sweetest person.

@@SuperEnthused She is just the nicest person. She did a personal appearance at the casino I worked at to promote the new Playboy slot machines. She was scheduled to do an hour meet and greet. The way those usually worked was kind of an assembly line. You'd walk up and someone would hand you a picture you'd put it down in front of the person they'd sign it and next. Not Bridget. She talked to everybody for as long as they wanted. She posed for pictures with everyone who wanted one. Some people from a no kill shelter showed up and when she found out they needed money to run the shelter she went down the line and did a collection. She was paid for the machine promotion and 1 hour of meet and greet. She had no merch. She was there for 4 hours. When everyone got what they needed her day finally ended. All she would have needed to do was nod to security and she would have been out of there and in her room but she chose not to disappoint anyone. Class act.

Oh the local goat. If that parking lot isn’t full I’d be worried lol. We love that place. The fried deviled eggs was a good choice. We’ve been there several times and have yet to order something we didn’t like. We haven’t ate at the other location even though it’s about a half hour away vs an 1 1/2ish for the pigeon forge one. All my years of living here I’ve never been to that wax museum lol seems like it’s definitely worth it for the extra 7 bucks to get the other things. Really enjoy the videos when y’all come up to Tennessee.
