Lumi (the pure white one) and Turk have paired up and are feeding each other before mating. These pigeons live at a rescue centre. More about pet pigeons: www.pigeonsaspe...
Hi, I'm not understanding your comment. Pigeons mate for life and they both share nesting and feeding duties. The female doesn't have to feed the babies alone, her mate will also feed the babies.
Ok, maybe you should consider this then: Pigeons were used to save men in times of war. They carried messages across war zones to save peoples lives. Pigeons are heros. Also, the pigeon has been found to pass the ‘mirror test’ (being able to recognise its reflection in a mirror) and is one of only 6 species, and the only non-mammal, that has this ability. The pigeon can also recognise all 26 letters of the English language as well as being able to conceptualise.
Actually when they "kiss", male gives a taste of his food from crop, it's part of there ritual, they feed there babies this way too :p Emotions is one of basic function of brain, animal feel too but we simply don't understand it as they express it in different way or they don't express it at all.... but you can decently see when animal fear you or is angry at you.
I used to see my pigeons do what they did, and he would also crouch like he wanted to be mounted, except she would actually mount him too! I was confused about their gender for the longest, but I finally figured them out, and they did have babies. :) Always did wonder why they were so freaky, lol.
Tragic black one sneakyla around the loved one seems firing her shot down to herself like greyla in her ken (laugh). The loneliest is the one whose mate feels lonlier than the single one. True tragedy
@@Duvmasta The female dove never wants anyone else than her favourite mate Bond. Unfortunately for you, dove is monogamous ♡ dont be a jealous miser like that tird one!
Oh, and by the way, human love is not perfect or always lovely. Human beings kill each other for greed, fun, power, etc. As a species, humans can be diabolically horrible so please don't view humans as the best species to compare all other species to.
I don't understand why you're trying to compare pigeons with people. Do you compare other animals with people too? Are other animals stupid because they don't behave and feel like human beings?? And when I say that pigeons mate for life, I mean they stick with the same partner for their whole life. Pigeons find a mate and then stay with them until death.
@vidaminfeeder2 These pigeons are not at a breeders. They are injured and unwanted pigeons at a rescue centre. The rescue centre doesn't breed the pigeons.
From the video you can see that male pigeons will mount to mate, and females will crouch down to receive a male. There is no easy way to tell if a pigeon is male or female but you can sometimes tell by behaviour. If a pigeon lays an egg, then you know for sure it is female, obviously! :D
What happens is the male positions his tail to the side of the females and performs what is called a “cloacal kiss” in which the male’s tail bends under the female and mating happens. It doesn’t work like mammal mating, as birds normally have internal genitalia.
The grey pigeon came as a disturbing element...causing embarrassment 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂look at the girl!!! She is not comfortable...so she flew away from there😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 n tge grey pigeon is after the boy pigeon...looking at his back...as if asking wat were you doing??? I know wat you were doing. 😂😂😂😂😂😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘 cute video!!
hello; ohyes he did :) he came back 3days later looking shocked hungry and thursty but he did it...after a while i found an animal protector that lives near the woods and has a lot of rescued pigeons he lives there now and found himself a girlfriend he has a good taste she's the most beautifull of all!! This animal protector has got an association and i am now an active member of it; it feels greate to do something for someone you don't ask to pay you back this a little monster changed my life!
@@mohabadr807 I apologize if my comment sounded rude. I also deleted it. It was not directed at you personally. I was exasperated on reading comments and felt rather disgusted about the way in which living things are so often treated like commodities. I am not vegan, I do eat meat, but I believe in treating animals with respect and to minimize suffering, even if they are being farmed or mass bred.
Um, no. The sperm does not go in the mouth. The birds mate by the male mounting the female and rubbing their cloacas together (which you see in the video, starting at 0:30). Before that, though, pigeons will "kiss" to show their commitment. The kissing is actually them feeding each other food.
@miguelpetful Hi, yes we know that. But if you want to get technical, then it's actually called "billing" and is part of a paired pigeons mating ritual. It's just nicer to say "kissing". :)
I was literally watching this vedio when they kiss I turned over the pigion on my ground they were also kissing and then started mating and now the pigion are shy and I am watching like wow unbelievable what a coincidence by the way the pigion are not my pets
@crysta789 Hi, I'm afraid I don't know. Sometimes pigeons don't like each other and won't be forced into a pairing, so you'll just have to wait and see if they start interacting and liking each other. :)
Wow. But, but that´s because you´re so lucky! I never have an animal beautiful experience. The only animal that loves me is Zar, my grandfather´s dog. Every time I get near a bird it flies away, even though I tell it: Don´t worry, I don´t want to hurt you, I just want to be your friend. That´s why I don´t understand how they show love and their feelings! :´(
Hi Anissa, I don't know if your pigeon will survive in the wild. I hope he does! It is very sad when pigeons go missing but hopefully he'll fly back to you. Keep an eye out for him. Maybe put some food out so he'll fly down to eat if he's near. I hope he comes back to you.
They didn't have any babies. All eggs were replaced with dummy ones to stop breeding. These pigeons are living at a rescue centre and they don't like them to breed.
A few days ago I saw two birds mating in my garden and I remember another pigeon came in and crashed the party. I remember my brother coming from no where and stating the words, "Leave them alone bud, let them fuck"
Get your facts right. It is a well documented fact that pigeons mate for life!! The female sits on the eggs for the majority of the time but the male takes over when the female needs to eat. This is well known too. You simply haven't been very observant
You’re right. So are mourning doves. They’re loving and loyal partners. Males will build the nests for the females. Both males and females will take turn to sit on the eggs.
@0Vla0 I agree, they are gorgeous pigeons. I don't know why Turk pecked Lumi at the end but they are otherwise very much in love and are very tender with each other.
Just tell me one thing, did Turk told "fly" to Lumi to protect her from the black pigeon, or he was just crazy? If he do it to protect her, that was really romantic!!!! :D
@grandpianoo98 Hi. Yes, it sounds like she thinks you're her mate. If you pat her on the back she'll think you've mated with her. Then she'll probably make a nest and lay some eggs. :)
I´m sorry, I just don´t understand. I see beautiful that a couple love and share. I don´t understand how you see beautiful that for whole life a couple just mate. How is it lovely for you? Can you forgive me for the bad reaction?
Well you obviously have never had a pet pigeon who loves you then. We have two disabled tame pigeons who love us and it isn't just about mating. They give us affection and love. Other animals are also capable of such feelings. They just don't express it the exact same way as human beings do. I think I've had enough of this conversation to be honest since I can see that you haven't got an open mind about animals.
