We received the visit of Bob Moffatt (host of @welddotcom ). Our colleague Donnie showed him the evolution of clamping technology: from a classic G clamp to the forged steel clamps... and finally our Maxipress clamp.
Mr Don Brantly does a great job of walking Bob through the unique features of the powerful Piher piston style clamp. More pressure, less effort!
It was an honour to talk with Bob and be part of his show.

After wrestling with CHEAP Home Depot clamps yesterday I have decided to give them to my neighbor... and replace them with a set of these. One question... will the pivoting handle/pin come off & go back on without tools? The reason I ask is sometimes there's little room for the handle and a simple sliding handle (like a C clamp) would be preferable.

Thank you for your word. Solving your question: Yes, the pivoting hand can be removed without tools, But you have to use a lot of strength because the innerspring is hard. You can watch it in this video (1:10) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-I5Gbi_DXOUY.html ... but you can use any tool press the spring. It's easy. After all of this, we suggest you give the pivoting handle a chance 😉

@@PIHERCLAMPS Oh I definitely will. I like the pivoting handle and it's nice to know it can be removed for tight spots. Thanks for the response. I will order a set of 8 or 10 from 8" to 32". Just looking around now for the best deal.
