haiii mukimo has become digital..never seen that part where you have to blend the malinge leaves...my mum taught me the old version way to put everything together{maize,potatoes,leaves,salt and what she called a pinch of magadi soda to soften the leaves}put all to boil in a clay pot and over a jiko and let it cook the kima it when ready

My hubby like this mokimo and Everytime we went to a restaurant, he will order it with fried chicken! i loved this food also and so one day my hubby asked me if i can cook it, I said yes,😂😂😂😂iam not kikuyu, i thought it was very easy, so i entered my kitchen, kept everything ready and started cooking.... Mungu wangu! that wasn't mokimo🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣it was something else! My husband laughed so hard and i was sad! i went to bed and my hubby aliacha kucheka akaniambia tukule tu mokimo yetu🤣🤣🤣🤣now that u've showed me how to do it, will prepare it and surprise him though i don't know where to get the pumpkin leaves🤔
