It's actually disgusting how underpowered rogues are right now, how do they expect us to do torghasts when were the class equivalent of a wet paper bag.
The biggest issue is actually just that drest + kyrian ability + legendary item for 100% crit + health pools at start of expansion = dead targets in a single cheap shot. Its all borrowed power though and plenty of classes have this kind of opening burst abilities with the right items/covenants. Actual Rogue abilities sustained damage doesn't need any major nerfs tbh.
Yeah. The core sub rogue is perfectly fine. Right now the main 2 offenders are the drest trinket and kyrian ability. The legendary is probably actually fine if those 2 things get nerfed.
@@kalvish5725 Thats due to a lack of gear right now. And even in past expacs sub rogue could 100-0 people in stun locks if they didnt have trinkets/defensives/healer but they were considered balanced in rated. Also there are other classes that can kill just as fast as a non kyrian drest sub rogue.
@@spookyturbo1618 gear wont make a difference. sub rog has very consistent *BURST* damage with shadow dance and crit symbols change. sub rog should be able to 1 shot using ALL their cooldowns, but not be able to 1 shot by only using shadow dance or symbols. gear will not change sub rog 1 shotting kyrian or not.

It's hilarious to read indeed but it also shows how many 1400 rated players there are that don't understand the game to it's fullest, but when its 80% of the player base the scary thing is Blizzard might listen to them.
@@lokidork4977 rogues indeed aren’t broken, kyrian ability is tho, but that’s the problem, high rated players know this, but the vast majority asks for rogue nerfs rather than kyrian nerfs because they don’t understand what’s happening. And if blizzard listens well end up like bfa where sub was nerfed so hard we couldn’t play it all expansion.
@@TGShunai Great I hope they do, when sub is good, no one gets to play the game. Sub was busted when they got nerfed back in BFA. It's Blizz fault for fucking up balance so badly but they need to either reduce their cc or lower their damage. They melt people within shadow dance, Kyrian just amplifies that tenfold.
@@lokidork4977 rogues are strong in 1v1 situations, they always have been, they always should be. That’s the entire class design. It’s not strong in every scenario tho and that’s good about the game. Some classes are good in small scale pvp, some classes are good in large scale pvp. It doesn’t mean one class is OP and the other isn’t. They are simply good at different things. Not every class should be able to do the same or else it doesn’t matter what class you play, which would be very boring. People want class identity.

Rogues are busted. But hunters, palas, wars, Monks etc. are all busted. Everyone has a insane oneshot. If U cant admit to that ure just dumb and a salty bastard who doesnt know h2p at all
@@nomonetosaxl Except rogues are easily the most egregious (and hunters to an extent as well since they can also stealth and pop out and 1 shot you from 40 yards away, but without a stun like a rogue) due to their incredibly good CC and utility and obviously stealth. The fact their damage takes absolutely zero setup also plays a huge role in it, as a rogue thats as good as Pika clearly demonstrated in this vid. None of those classes damage is pretty much as unstoppable as a rogues burst right now, or can effectively lock down the target to maintain 100% uptime for their damage while CCing your partner nearly as well as a rogue can. Then they can just vanish and reset, and wait if you do in fact press trinket/an immunity in the first go (or they can easily just bait those CDs in the opener without using all their CDs because people are that scared of how broken rogues burst is and then youre really fucked).
Proof the trinket is broken - SP “lucky” when he survives the opener and then all Pika can say is “I don’t know how we’ll win this” because the trinket is now on CD.
@@thebadjunglew204 You’re tears will fuel blizzards addiction when they nerf the obviously needed legendary for easy mode kills, and most rouges run away when both their cheap shots and spam of crap fails on me they get scared run off cause they know they can’t win and they wait until they can spam again then try again it takes no skill to run away and hide until you can kill someone you don’t even fight legit you just run and hide and then hope you’re 4 buttons you smash and the 8 seconds of free shots you get with double the damage always kills Them and if it doesn’t ohhh no their hacking right? Run and hide! Hey Pika, First of all let me tell you I acknowledge you as one the best rogues and You are my favourite wow streamer/youtuber. BUT. Right now you know as well that rogue is actually broken. If someone who have just a little skill can delete anything, and this will surely destroys the first weeks of the season. ( I know hunter is the same story) And right now i think you should raise your voice as a streamer and wow partner, thats something is not right, and not just laughing in it.
what's worse is, anyone who's on a rogue doesn't need to learn much beyond knowing the right order to use their spells for 3-4 seconds. They're gonna get massive rating early on and then we'll be in a spot where it's nearly impossible to balance them because they'll all start claiming they're hitting hard due to gear.
Rupture doesn't do instant dmg. Doing it from the side, on a sapped player, won't break the sap. Keeps you from auto attacking, so you don't break it that way. Basically gives you the free global.

@@reddawg9753 there is no initial tick on rupture. the first tick comes after 2 or 3 seconds. you do it from the side to not land an autoattack. you ability radius is bigger than your autoattack radius and rupture would automatically enable autoattacks

In all seriousness that "4 sec crit after stealth" legendary will be nerfed so hard xd. I mean it's fun and all to just Cold Blood, Shadowstrike, Dance, Symbols, Kyrian ability, Evisceration and one shot somebody :D... But it's really not gonna last. Sub is already a super powerful spec.. and this is super overkill. The problem is that when Blizzard nerf something that is super strong, they usually go too far and make it unviable
For the first time i don't think that rogue JUST needs a nerf. I really think that blizzard just fucked up the numbers...It's basically a bug, so there is no need for nerf, rather than fix. Blizzard must've added a few too many 0s in rogues damage algorithm or something. maybe a cat stepped on the keyboard when they were programming rogue.. i dont know. But there's no way a sane person who is not on drugs intentionally gave rogue that much damage and said " yea, this is okay...".
Imagine making a trinket thats so broken that its just as broken if not even more an entire expac later and you STILL dont do anything to effectively nerf/control it. Ion Hazicockinhisass logic right there.
Funny how this honestly comes off unironic. He sorta dances around the concern of the state of sub rogues and uses “broken” when describing them. When by all objective measure they are broken. They are afforded a perfect or optimal opener because of stealth, sap on someone else (so even without big damage we see their power), then stun lock healer, blind, etc. Smoke bomb and shadowy duel after. But on top of that you have the ability to one shot. Forget setting up a fight and being calculated. For all you people switching to sub or even a hard class switch to rogues, this any many other things like it (mm hunter-aimed shot and rapid fire) are going to be addressed once data is in from the upcoming the rated season. Just like it always has happened. Now don’t get me wrong the people who get high enough and complete their games for glad, will just park that rating, but it’s not going to remain like this. Sometimes things have been so broken ladders had to be reset. I think that happened with blood dk in woltk and their glyph of the dark succor or whatever glyph for death strike. Anyways, playing non skill based matching king and congratulating yourself on winning is already so hard to watch. But wow it’s bad knowing that you think it’s all down to skill.
I’ve noticed when I’m trying to re stealth after ganking Someone and he has a buddy if your targeting him I’ve had to click off my target for stealth to come back up. Anyone else have this happen to them?
