so glad I've just found your channel.can see your an excellent pike angler.excellent quality of video.when you caught the 23 I new it was a good fish soon as you struck into it then when you said it's not very big it thrashed by the net an you could tell then she was a big girl.i only fish for pike and that's it.im from the lake district so fish windermere rydal grassmere coniston etc and have had loads of really good fish upto 29 but still trying for that 30.i fish with john neafcey now and again.youll no who he his.what a pike as angler he is.ive struggled to get out last 12months as my mam is advanced stages of dementia so I help look after her when I'm not at workim gonna watch all your other videos.cant believe your channel hasn't took off.keep doing what your doing.really enjoyed it.tight lines and wish you all the luck in the world drew
Many thanks for the comment. Unfortunately I don’t get to fish my local pike water any more as the old body won’t get me there. Not done much in the Lake District just a couple of visits when we were running the Pike Anglers Club out of South Wales. Fantastic area though. Really enjoyed the video and a great 20. Given that it’s a water that doesn’t seem to produce many jack pike it may be one that would respond to a small one on the hooks. Or given the similar smell a smelt. Thanks for the effort you’ve put in as the production quality is really good.
Many thanks for the comments. I was surprised myself how few small pike I caught. I think a few low doubles did come out to others but I struggled by my own expectations. Think I've been spoilt by the private pike lake. Stay safe 👊🏻
They are about 30 year old 12’ 6” Harrison Ballistors which, I think we’re 3 1/2, but have softened over the years. I bought the blanks and built them myself.
