It’s an awesome rod, one of the absolutely best ones I’ve used. I’m not too good at these techniqal rod terms and definitions of differnt actions/powers. I’d call it a medium heavy (casting weight up to 110 gr) medium fast action rod. Perfect for all kinds of pike lures, both softbaits, cranks, chatterbaits etc. It’s fun to fight even smaller fish with it while it can still handle even the biggest fish. Just a perfect pike rod!

Well, I wouldn’t agree. When you fish with Fred he really does everything to put the other angler on the fish, from placing the boat right, discussing different lure choises, tactics etcetera. He’s one of the most skilled anglers I’ve fished with and it’s super interesting to discuss such things with him. Thanks for watching!

if I understand well your question, I will say that we will probably end up with the same resuslts. If we assume that the fisherman don't fall asleep with his rod on hand and is always reactive for a proper hookset. A short bite show that the fish got interest on your bait but not enough to completly remove the doubt. Short bite is a test bite we could say. So if you don't changes some parameters you probably end up keeping having short bite but no real strike. Reason why I always end up with so many different colors and tackles on my deck while fishing. I admire the stuborn fishermen that keep faith in one shape and color hahaha
