This shows pike fishing Pitsford Reservoir with replicant and Rapala lures from a boat. Highlights from a cloudy afternoon when I had a half day boat and one sunny day when I fished with Richard Graham. Lots of spots are shown and several pike caught.

Great video, i went there myself last week and really struggled. What sort of depth do you fish at/would you recommend to fish at for lures? I'm use to the rivers so finding it hard to adapt to the reservoir, cheers.

They can take surface lures. I generally try and fish as close as I can to the bottom without snagging weed. At the end of the day pike can follow the prey fish higher up in the water, so it is best to fish shallower at that time.

Nice factual and relaxing video. A good result given the conditions. Maybe a no. 7/8 outfit a little light for pike.

Thank you. Yes the rod and line is a bit light, I need to try and sort out a decent rod for my heavier lines.

Yes. You have to go into the fishing lodge.
