‪@MerlinsOldSchoolGarage‬ and ‪@bobscustomdesigns‬ take the trip up Pikes Peak... with a whopping 24HP and pegged at 20 MPH they slowly make the climb above the clouds. Desiree sat this one out due to the severe elevation. This trip has crossed some things off of the bucket list for the whole group! What will they see next?

Most people would have just shipped that car home and missed the trip of a lifetime. This trip is something you guys will fondly remember the rest of your lives. Thanks so much for taking us along. 😊
@nexusdodge
Merlin crossing the country in a Model A with a screw driver, multi-tool and mini crescent wrench in his pocket. That's a confident mechanic.
@Scott-ms3ug
The Pikes Peak run was amazing. The whole trip has been! Thanks for taking us along!
@S_Garrett

Thanks Merlin for taking us along for this trip down memory lane.
@georgevindo
Man, you guys are doing great! Those older vehicles are still more capable than most people give them credit for. Try that for any newer vehicle in a100 years! Thanks again Merlin, for taking us along. Its been a really fun ride.

When I was a young man we lived on the Central Queensland Australia Gem Fields. Over near the railway was a man named Jack, a family of about 8 children, he used to polish sapphires for a living. He had an A Model Ford, typical Australian model with an open cockpit covered ute (Pickup). My Dad visited him about 1961 to get some sapphires polished but Jack was going out West for the winter, quite good money could be earned from Kangaroo skins where the animals were in plague proportion. Jack sold his polishing factory to my Dad. Packed his family into the poor old A Model hitched a home made garden trailer made out of wooden wheel Rugby front axle and the timber box off the Rugby Ute onto the back. And headed out over about a thousand miles of Black soil and Red sand hill roads. In those days there were 28 railway level crossings between Emerald and Alpha, 112 miles, no bridges over creek crossings. The A Model took it in her stride. Ted from Down under.
@Jackduane
Great to get to see you do this, you are just a handful of people that could pull this off without a whole crew following you! Keep it up Merlin!
@robertdavis6708
There has to be someone out there that makes an electronic points conversion for that old gal. That would be the only mod I would make on her. Merlin, you bought that car only 15 miles from my house, around Springboro. That camp is where I first qualified for concealed carry. What a trip, one will never forget, Congratulations.
@lisaharvey4373
I'm so impressed with the performance of the car it just keeps on truckin Merlin the mountains are hard enough on a modern vehicle so what a jewel she is of course it takes someone like you to adjust the timing and mixture to keep it running right what a Kool Trip folks so glad to be along for the ride see you in the next video!
@Bradzuzu

@robertdemore395
You are one brave man to drive that Model A down pikes Peak with mechanical brakes. I enjoy your videos . My Dad is 94 years old and has Model T and Model A cars . He still likes to take his friends for rides . We put 100% antifreeze in them . Seams to help keep them from getting hot .
@opendstudio7141
Can’t help but remember all those souls who drove horses, mules and wagons along those trails. Many cattle drives as well.
@kenmurray4232
This adventure just keeps getting better. Pikes Peak is a challenge not to be taken lightly but you did just fine. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for taking us along.
@johncannon310
