Pikes Peak Full Run | Gen 2 Quad-Motor R1T | Rivian 

That is totally bonkers.

I made this same drive in my R1S a little over a week before this. My time was a bit slower.

8:30 - shoves understeer @ 111mph, feeds full throttle on exit, lifts, pitches it in over the bumps, full throttle exit, checks the rear view mirror, looks at the gauges then fist pumps the air. That's success right there!

Watching from the helicopter it looks so tame and casual, onboard, it's anything but! Great job Gardner and the Rivian team! So stoked to have my R1T Quad!

Incredible driving Gardner. You’ve got some serious stones to push a 7,000 lb truck along those cliffs at those speeds. My heart was pounding watching the video particularly around some of the high speed sweepers that got a little bouncy.

To think I get to drive this same truck everyday, definitely my happy place. Thanks Rivian❤️

Hearing the tires screech and seeing the speedometer while the clearance to the edge of the road in the side view gets so narrow and then some bumps are hit is absolutely terrifying and epic. Makes me wanna go take my Gen 1 Quad for a rip at probably half the speed and still feel like a daredevil 😅

Is this a truck or a racing vehicle? Rivian: Yes.

The 0-60 and the HP numbers don’t mean anything until you watch a mad lad push the vehicle to the absolute limit on a world famous hill climb like Pike’s Peak. That was nuts!

Epic run! Gardner pushed so hard for that sub 11 minute time. Thanks Rivian for making these vehicles, and for posting the entire clip.

When I heard the record I was excited. Seeing the video I'm terrified. It's honestly kinda scary that this is a production truck. 😬

The stability of the car, the set of brakes, and the dexterity of the driver were outstanding. Incredible! The pilot dances with death throughout the narrow and steep mountain route. How wonderful! Rivian comes to Brazil!

Rivian should offer some limited package with this livery, or some inspired by it, much the way Bentley did a few years ago.

Pack temps held all the way until 8:12 before going amber. Thermal control on this Gen 2 appears to be absolutely insane! And an impressive driver to boot!

I mean…what is it? 3 1/5 tons, 0-60 in something like 3 seconds, handles like a sports car, fully stock, could easily climb those mountains passing through the woods (one of the best off road vehicles out there)…someone kicked it out of the park in doing their job 😂

I've driven that road many times but not at anything near those speeds! Wild! Working those tires, too! Of course, when I've driven it, the altitude affects performance, even on fuel injected cars (drove it in carbureted cars as well...really felt the altitude). But with that Rivian, who needs oxygen? (besides the driver, of course)

What about a camera to see the foot pedal action too?

Just wondering about the battery, and other, temps during that amazing run. the Hyundai I5N boys said their cars, and they are great cars, could make the full climb without overheating or losing power. Was wondering if this truck could do the same? I see in the video on the bottom right the battery icon goes red, but that could just mean it's warm, and not slowing the truck at all. It looks like it is pulling hard all the way to the clouds. Just curious, as a huge EV fan, I love seeing the technology getting better and better. Really looking forward to the smaller R3, as I may be able to afford that one. Great run, and keep going back to the peak!

Just noticed regen is fully off for this. Wonder if that could come to a future Super Sport mode for R3X or something
