What a beautiful podcast! I am really looking forward to seeing more of your gentle spirit and beautiful knits.

I like that you don’t knit what is on everyone else’s needles. You seem to go for the unusual and challenging. Keep up the good work. I love your chubby mountains ⛰ .

I'm really into your podcast. Finally a knitting aesthetic I can relate to. I appreciated the background music too. I'm currently trying to re-evaluate my yarn choices and knitting styles and realized I was impulse purchasing all these beautiful colourful indie dyed yarns that I would just never wear. Although I can appreciate a pop of colour in my outfit with a nice whimsical sock. Hope to see more of you in the future.

Your podcast just popped up in my recommendations for the first time today. I know it is two years old, but wow lots of inspiration in this episode! Looking forward to catching up on the rest of your episodes 🙂

Sweety, don`t worry about "wasting" fabric. There is no such thing as "wasting". That thinking springs from a lackful thinking mentallity. The universe always provides for us in abundance. I loooove to work with fabric. I always tell my students not to be afraid of experimenting with the materials. There are no such things as "mistakes", only different levels of expression. And if you end up with a lot of scraps, you can always use them to stuff a pillow with it or other things. ;-) Happy crafting

Just discovered your podcast and really enjoyed it! Isnt it funny how we slip into saying "Ummm..", its a habit is all... you are aware of it so it will happen less and less as you pay attention to it! Your sweaters are great, thank you for sharing the parts that were challenging, it helps me to learn too. I love your socks, its an interesting idea to hold a strand of thread with the wool yarn - what kind of thread? I was thinking of trying to hold a thin mohair yarn with a wool to make socks... havent done it yet but am curious if it would help with longevity when using non-superwash sock yarn... great job! And I love your choice of yarn and beads for the Celestarium... that patten is on my list maybe I will do it this winter.... Im happy I have a few now to "binge-watch" now that I have discovered your podcast!

@@pikkukimalainen564 Strangely enough I only brought a bundle of it to test it out as many online said it is good 🤣🤣 Anyway I find that Drops Lima is my current favourite yarn aswell as any pure wool that is not superwash because I do not appreciate how superwash items stretch🤣..Pls what are your favourite sweater yarns?🥰🥰

What a great podcast...all about knitting! I am a fellow Montanan and I don't know what I would do during the winter if I couldn't knit! Keep up the great work...looking forward to many more! (I'm one who doesn't care for the boom boom music in the background...could be my age...butI can live through it).

Great first podcast, Rachel! I loved what you had to show us. You're a very creative knitter, and I appreciated the detail info that you shared relative to the modifications you made to some of your knitting projects. With regard to the Tracy sweater, to achieve your boat neck collar, why not just rip out the ribbed collar and do a few decrease rounds to get to the width you desire and then do an applied I-cord bind off? I think that might give you something closer to what you are looking for??? (Just a thought!) Loved your little "moon phases" background hanging. Your color work socks are wonderful, too. And since you like the name "Freya", have you discovered the podcast "Freya Spins"? She's a young German woman who is focusing on spinning, and knitting with her handspun yarn. She really likes "rustic yarn", too! Take care, and happy 2018!

Robin McCamont Robin McCamont sorry for the delayed response haha works been hectic. Thank you for the podcast recommendation! So far I've really been enjoying it. Also I think I'll add those decreases to the neck as well as adding in some shortrows near the shoulders

I enjoyed your episode so much! If you want to try stopping your socks from bleeding out, most people recommend to wash them with white vinegar or color guard, I have tried vinegar and works. Hope you keep posting and happy knitting!

I am so happy to have found your podcast! You are so pretty and sweet :0 I’m a super beginner knitter (as in I know garter stitch and that’s pretty much it, lol) and your beautiful finished objects and wips are so inspiring! I really love the mountain side idea and what you’ve done so far, they are adorable! You should definitely make a pattern, it’s such a great idea. And acorn and deer on your wip socks sounds so cute! Ugh, I so relate to not loving to talk much. I work in a place that has “teams” and anytime I move to a new one there is always at least one person that seems to be personally attacked by my quietness and feels the need to constantly make me aware of it, meh. Can’t wait to watch podcast 2 and hope to see more from you. :)

wingpearlpetalandshell thank you💕 haha I definitely know a few people that tend to always comment on my quietness, most of the time I think I just make them uncomfortable so they feel the need to say something. Uhhg but some people can be relentless about it. Then, when you actually have something worth while to say your words will just get brushed to the side by people's teasing comments on how you finally spoke up. Sorry for the rant but that's painfully relateable 🍂

Ahh I'm gonna check her out, definitely need the help, lol. Yes, I guess it truly does make people uncomfortable. Convo from last week: Lady: Your so quiet Me: I know that. Should I make more noise? Lady: Just make any noise, just give me something! Me: Lol...ok...I'm going to start randomly telling people that they're too loud. Lady: haha (sits down awkwardly) Maybe I don't help the uncomfortableness, lol :P

I love the background music, it's really relaxing ! and your socks are so gorgeous ! I'm trying to change my industrial wardrobe by knitted items too, but my stash is no longer adapted to my style 🤔 I hope you'll continue podcasting !

Haha I definitely have that problem at times. I started to learn different dying techniques so I could knit from my stash with colors I knew I'd wear. I'd say acid dyes are the easiest rout, I use the Greener Shades brand
