Because they only available in the caves. Pikmin 3 doesn't really have proper caves so it makes sense, same reason there are no bulbmin. Still sucks though.
Well you're not gonna alternate between 7 pikmin types on a map which would be crazy tedious, you're not gonna get rid of the og 3, and you're not gonna not have new types. I think this was the only way and they did it
This is the pikmin 3 purple pikmin. Where they removed the stun and smash thing. They still have the smash thing but it does not do alot of dps. They did not want to make red pikmin uesless in pvp.
@@Local_Intruder They could honestly just make some enemies immune to the stun and make certain enemies only able to be hit after stunning. Also, like Rocks, they can have weak latching power in exchange for extreme initial impact. There are ways of nerfing them without making them totally useless as they are now
I had no idea they implemented certain interactions like Bombs blowing up the Armored Mawdad's shell, but I'm assuming that it either was hard coded in and just never got a chance to be used or they implemented so that all the crystal-like armors had similar properties, which is probably the way it was done. Either way the thought never occurred to me to bomb the dadmaw
Something I hate about Pikmin 3 is how the purple Pikmin got nerfed, they don't stun and stomp on enemy's, they are just normal Pikmin with mere Carrying strength
Well, that is kind of their point as they only appear in Mission Mode, where you have limited Pikmin so their carrying strength is useful, same in how White Pikmin are faster
They’re okay in the context of the challenge mode levels but it’s very obvious they were a last minute addition. There’s a difference between trying to rebalance Purple Pikmin and getting rid of everything that makes them unique, Pikmin 3 seems to have wanted to do a rebalance but they must have been so low priority that they ended up finishing on the first step of the rework.
@@johnclark926 Yeah I bet if Purples were gonna be in Pikmin 3's story mode they would've had more changes made so they aren't useless, since the main mode is usually top priority
I was legit screamin at you during the mireclops fight "KEEP CALM" "STAY FOCUSED AND KEEP UP WITH THE RHYTHM" cause that's why everyone can't beat this thing without losing guys, you panic and lose control.
I think it would've been cool if pikmin 3 changed the purple and white pikmin up a bit and created 2 more areas where you could get purple and whites, however the areas would be optional and only for treasures designed around them. So it would be required for 100%, but not for a casual playthrough (These areas would also be before the end of the game)
@@frowner_and_co poison geysers you need to destroy to let other Pikmin through, enemies that need to be stunned before they can be attacked, there's quite a few things you can do with them
@@frowner_and_co in the files for the models of all the Captains and Pikmin, there lies an unused remodel of a Pikpik carrot and the Pikmin 2 Bulbmin model, so they most likely copy/pasted many of the Pikmin 2 models and code to use as a base for Pikmin 3, along with having Pikpik carrots return for the Piklopedia
@@montydoesgames poison geysers werent in pikmin 2. Its like the fire geyser (pikmin 3 version, indestructible) but with a remodel and now is poisonous
0:20 why didn’t you choose “Sub 2 Tong!” that’s what you’re supposed to do ☹️ I’m sorry to say, but the police will be after you now. You didn’t subscribe to yourself I’m afraid
Rock Pikmin actually solos the final boss if you know how to micromanage (i.e. damaging the elemental cubes and being able to rescue pikmin from drowning/burning)
You were doing so well with no deaths up until the Mireclops... I was honestly impressed with how you handled the Meerslug, I had no idea you could attack its mouth to stun it when it tried to eat things.
If they're going to be this weak, why include them at all? I'd think if they added special Pikmin types unique to extra game modes, you'd want them to be pretty strong so that they become worth the time investment. Just kind of odd
Olimar and Louie finally get revenge on those pesky creatures that kidnapped them lol. Is there a tutorial how to put them in mission mode stages anywhere? I know for story mode it's significantly more difficult.
Purple pikmin are ok at the bosses just hope they don't have the nerft in pikmin 4 just wish they got the stun when attack again thinker cross have a good day
Bruh I hate that they got rid of the stun like thats what made purples special to everyone man now its just all nerfed and not able to do an awesome stun also when the purples stun lock it doesnt work anymore the enemy has to be not moving or stuck in an area to use purples
