First sub 54 in GC version! I intentionally stopped some parts for setups for cutscene skip streak. Note: this is played on GC version (NTSC-U). NTSC-U is faster due to lighter Secret Safe being carried faster.
What an insane run! Also nuking the 50 reds to get the 50 blues out immediately so you could make them drink nectar before the part got there. That was brutal af.
Wait wtf, this is clean. I was in a nostalgia trip and wanted to see the pikmin speedrun (never saw one before). It's cool to see that back in the day, I used some shortcut tricks (that are used in this run as well) I came up on my own when I was a kid, and was already happy if I could collect 5-6 pieces in one day in the forest of hope and even more if I was able to get at least 4 pieces in the distant spring... But the organisation of the pikmin, the count and workcycles in this run is all pretty amazing. I'm truly baffled how you're actually able to collect all the pieces in less than a day. Crazy how optimized this route feels like, there's like no downtime whatsoever except for the first day on impact site. Multi tasking at it's finest and it was cool to see some out of the box thinking on some levels. Went like "you could do that?" or a couple of times, like leaving a pikmin for bait or routing for some bombs. Also some fights went crazy fast, like I was never able to kill a clam that fast. How did you manage to not get the water boss on the second day on the impact site though? Did you avoid hitting a spawn trigger? Very satisfying run to watch, I knew this was prolly a great run to watch anyhow, but I'm baffled on how well thought out the route is, GG!
PAL runs at slow framerate (PAL:25fps, Others:30fps), so PAL's time is 1.2x of other versions. Even no end of day cutscenes do not overcome that disadvantage.
