Actually it is triggered depending by which area was the last you explored. If you close the game and then you start it then it'll show a different screen opening depending on the area you last visited; and yes, each area is season-themed. Awakening wood is spring 🌸 Perplexing pool is summer ☀️ Wistful wilds is autumn 🍁 Valley of repose is winter ❄️

SPOILERS ON PIKMIN 4’S TITLE SCREEN! In the full game, it turns out that it was all in a TV and the real title screen is inside a living room with Oatchi and some pikmin.
on a regular open, it shows the different natural environments, but after the ending, it zooms out into hero's hideaway where the pikmin and oatchi are present
@@LocalGooberGoobs yeah but it’s still a whole game on its own. It literally has a title screen too! It’s got it’s own bosses, and even an original sound track. Plus, it’s supremely better than hey pikmin.

Press the X button, and a Red Bulborb will appear on the screen. It will make the Pikmin on the screen run around in a panic. The Bulborb will attempt to make two bites and then go away, whether or not it misses with its attacks. You can control it if you tilt the C-stick
the logo design change was a bit disappointing, also considering now all the switch Pikmin games have the same green design instead of the flower design...
