Sabyasachi Chakrabarty is a Bengali actor of theater, films and television. He should have played the character played by AB. In fact several others of immense talent could have been approached. We wouldn't have been forced to tolerate such an irritating caricatural portrayal! How could a director, himself a Bengali, stand by and watch a very typical Bengali character being totally decimated in front of his eyes. Everything about the portrayal was totally wrong. I cannot believe that the director failed to notice that the actor was making a mockery of the typicality of the Bengali language. The gesticulations were flawed. The portrayal was pathetically slapstick. When such talented Bengali actors were available then why compromise. The others in the film were excellent. AB's portrayal hopelessly pulled the film down. AB is not be blamed. The director has bungled or was it a deliberate compromise keeping an eye on the box-office. Alas, a great opportunity was lost.
