A documentary about the Heritage town of Pila, Laguna.
Welcome to my hometown!
The town of Pila is site for some well-preserved houses dating back to the Spanish period as well as the old Saint Anthony of Padua Parish Church, the first Antonine church in the Philippines.
Don Felizardo Rivera, who donated his lands to the church and municipal government, is the recognized founder of Pila. He is the ancestor of prominent families in Pila surnamed Rivera, Relova, Agra and Álava.
This also served as a location for the reality show, The Amazing Race Asia 2 and the ABS-CBN daytime drama hit series Be Careful With My Heart.

I am with the Pila Historical Society Foundation which was organized in 1993 with the objective of preserving the town’s heritage, cultural, environmental and historical landmarks. We worked with Prof De Viana for the declaration of Pila’s town center as a National Historical Landmark when she was with the National Historical Institute.

Tita Cora, greetings. I am Nathan, the developer of the video. I am also the son of Angelita “Angie” Babaan. Grandson of Angelito Tiblits Babaan. I remember meeting you and tita Jovit Relova when I was young. I am currently taking up my doctorate degree in UP Diliman, Philippine Studies and would also like to be part of the Pila Historical Society Foundation.
