Because I'm ridiculous about weapon loading times--I mean, aren't all middle aged women obsessed with both modern and archaic weapon types?--I refreshed my memory on reload times for crossbows. Turns out, 5 seconds as a re-load time for a crossbow is EXTREMELY fast. A few absolute nuts manage ~4 seconds. (And weirdly, medieval versions are very competitive.) Depending on the model, with a modern style of crossbow, about the most you're likely to get is more in the ~7 second range, but more like 10-20 seconds is about the best you should generally expect. Oh, and the sheer strength/stamina requirements can be insane, even with modern gadgetry! Point being, this is one area where I definitely prefer the not-realism of games. (And of TV shows. Daryl would be dead a zillion times over.)
Did I miss the episode where you got rid of the bicycle and picked up the mini-bike? I can't find it. In the last stream, The New Direwolf is NIGHTMARE Fuel, you still had the bicycle.

I watched that stream (as well as the 1 hour one) but I remember it as - you never ended up getting anything motorized because you needed some more books? Must be some sort of RU-vid Mandela Effect because even in the 1 hour stream, I swear I remember you riding the bicycle.
Put it on, read books to get the bonus and then remove. Just have to save up books and then put it on and spam them. I think at full tier it’s like a 50% chance to get 2 books for one.
