Sounds like it needs a little bit of bass and near full treble to sound right, but different speakers would sound different again I guess. Anyway, must get me one of those. Best sound I ever heard was a Technics incidentally. Not sure what model now. Probably I'll build a one some day. Got some crazy ideas I want to try out, like super regulated power with a lot of DC current, DC on the heaters for sure and less reliance on caps.
JUNK, Tubes are not any better than the newer transistor amps... Get over the tube craze... It's old tech and has gone by the way side for audio replication. Maybe if your a electric guitar player they may have a slight bit more of a warmer sound.. But for audio, the tube is a waste of money and a novelty at most..
Given music is an art and left solely for interpretation and not science. The way we consume music is the same for most people. Not saying people cant enjoy using science to listen to music in the purist way possible. For those types, your point has merit, but for other people there is more elements than just a perfect wave form. Different amps add different qualities that some people really enjoy and connect with. Whether it's nostalgia, warmth, the type of speakers they run, and so on.. it's all very relative and there is no absolute statement you can make that will change that. I like my audio like I like my food. My way, not yours. 🫵
You must be joking or not heard a good tube stereo. Its not all about specs, its about how it aounds to the listener. Tubes actually beat out many solid state amps when it comes to low amounts of higher order harmonics which makes them so easy to listen to for hours.
@@jakep8484 Many people simply cannot hear that difference. And they can't be convinced by something they can't hear. I'm just glad I'm not one of them.
@@Ace96x10 thats saddens me to hear that some people cant hear well enough to hear a difference. Everyone I have demonstrated hifi for can notice a difference very easily.
