Hi, personally i tend to have the same problem about the point breaking or bending, It has happen mostly with pentel and pilot, at least three times, even when I am very careful with them, accidents are common thing when drawing in desk with angle, or outdoors, i feel like brands should take care about it and made the tips from a durable alloy, that could endure fallings and such accidents, maybe more quality control, even for cheap models, which I love very much because of their design and ergonomy (Pentel 120, Pentel graphgear 500) it is sad to have to replace them when their metal points get damaged
