Awesome! great quality video, with English subtitles (really appreciated) and a very interesting video, I've seen almost every single one of the pilots eye tv videos circulating on RU-vid, and this one has been very interesting because it shows a different side of the pilots job, testing pilot. I do same when test driving possible new car, take out on to high speed road then shut off engine and see if restart, if everything does not work I don't buy car.

Michael K It was partially filmed in a simulator. The simulator shots are blended with real shots. Perhaps because the film crew could not or was not allowed to film everything in the real plane. I was there in the simulator when it was filmed :-) I was in charge of the 777 simulator development at that time. Very knowledgeable crew!!
Hans van der Laan I’ve done pre-delivery test flights for airline I fly for and we don’t allow anyone other than essential personnel to be on board due to insurance liability issues. Delivery flights are a different matter, but test flights no.
Because this is sort of dangerous and there was a guest with a camera present. I don't think it's a good idea to actually test-fly a plane and shoot a RU-vid video at the same time ;-)
