This why they don't want rappers over 30 in the rap game....Cause most likely they gon tell you some real shit. Young nigga more easy to control. By the time they get hip to the game they make sure you ain't relevant no more. Them folks don't need another 2pac popping up.
That radio shit in other cities he talking bout is so real. Used to travel and couldnt wait to hear what that city was playing. Now its the same trash.
Say bruh I remember when we used to buy blank tapes and record songs off the radio, the radio was always played good music then you didn't even need a CD player and like you said everywhere you went it was something different I miss those days
David Williams lol cmon man you sleeping. It's ok you must not be from the South or just understand real rap. Pimp C was the realist since Tupac. Now there's no one left but Kendrick Lamar and MAYBE J Cole.
+E-LIVE THA WIZ Garbage music killed the music industry. If music were good, people would still be going to concerts. People don't even go to concerts as much anymore.
+Used to be Ron Well there was actually garbage music in the 80s and 90s, but the real talent outweighed the bullcrap because the radio/club DJs weren't corporate puppets. Today there's a flood of bad music and MP3s/free downloads. I think the concerts are the last thing that can save a good musician's career.
Alex Mendoza and how did pac sell his soul? Don’t say stupid shit please. He died fighting for what he thought was right till the day he died. He ain’t sell shit he ain’t have to
Pac....ain't sell his soul...df this man shot two cops in beat his case he had a whole coast riding for him witch nobody did ever pimp had Texas....in the south goin that way but he was killed u can't have your own army in the government eyes
TheKGB Clan i love 2pac, but that nigga wanted to show suge and the rest of the crew that he was a gangster, which he never was (they guy was a ballet dancer in highschool) if you beat up a well known gangbanger, that nigga will come for you cus this aint no rap beef
Thats why today I dont see no good rappers out now. The rappers I really looked up to is rappers like 2pac, PimpC ( UGK), Spice 1, CBO, Scarface, celly cel, B Legit, E40, 8ball & MJG, C murder, B.G. Dogg Pound, Luniz, Twista, Do or Die, Dj Quik and MC Eiht and Too short, Treach, Redman, Wu tang clan, Bone Thugs and Three 6 Mafia. These are the realest rappers i really recognized in the game at the time. Hiphop will never be the same. So sad that hiphop turned out to be like this :(
No Limit Soldier there's plenty good rappers out now, it's just an over saturation of trash since anyone who has Internet access can be a star now. A lot of these rappers are actually good too, they know how to rap, they just dumb it down cuz that's what's hot now
I like every one u named, I would suggest method man and red man, you would enjoy some of their shit, they are something special in the studio and live, seen them perform last year at hip hop harvest in LA Microsoft center, they stole the show
He had respect from the top rappers in the South & Midwest, they actually listened to him like a big brother, he was trying to stop the way hip hop was headed, now we see the results homosexuality, unnecessary beef, terrible music being played in rotation on the radio, more distruction.
Bun is probably one of the reasons he’s dead...mind your business is what’s wrong with the world now , minding your business causes casualties...especially to very great people. Rip PIMP
So why can't you listen to independent hip hop radio stations How you know independent rapper's like myself don't rap the kind of music you want to hear You only listen to rich rapper's huh yeah I guess so no wonder you think hip hop is dead Try listening to my music some times and other independent rapper's Give mainstream rapper's a break
@moneytrain8575 a bad thing for record companies who want to control your image and benefit off your career. Giving you pennies while they make the bigger cut off you.
2:28 Sums up everything. 9 years later and he's still spitting nothing but facts. People that are about spreading peace and knowledge tend to never die of old age. Think about it.
So if you're tired of drake why not listen to my rap music and independent hip hop Radio stations and give us indi artists a chance to shine why do you choose to ignore us
@@independentrapking4125 if you're gonna say "listen to my rap" then at least recommend some artists... Larry June, Doggystyleeee, Jay Worthy, Westside Boogie, Caleborate, Mick Jenkins, Saba, Poodieville, Griselda, beast coast, Kota the friend, Marlon craft, Cal scruby, KAAN, Deniro Farrar, Lute, Bas, Aaron May, Leroyce, Calenraps, Currensy, malz Monday, j Tek, etc.
@@theherbpuffer 🤣😂 my manz I don't even know all those rapper's so how can I recommend them And what's the point of recommending rapper's anyways just for lyrical rap fans to check Me out ?
@@independentrapking4125 Recommending artists exposes these artists to more people, because they are underground and independent after all...check them out, free game my man
I love the musicianship that UGK put into their music. That's what drew me to them. They created an original sound that set the tone for other rap groups. "Country Rap Tunes"!
rappers aint like this much these days... they get knocked off when they reach that age of wisdom... maybe rappers will unionize on the right terms someday...
they killed him off bc he spoke too much. he was just keeping it real! you don’t see that nowadays anymore... all these rappers are DL bots! R.i.p Pimp C 🖤🕊.
I agree. I used to listen to the radio just to hear music I've haven't heard yet, but all I hear is the same track over and over again because if some labels paid the radio station to replay all day. Pimp c was and always be the truth!
It's the industry they see these artists eating good ten maybe fifteen years off one record, one album, maybe two and their lives set. So what they do to most artist that they feel aren't in their favor or chosen to use. To offset your career they leak your records especially if it's good. This way the records you've been anticipating to wow your audience is now already out before your album and now your listeners don't have to pay you that money. Your in debt to the record label because you've spent most of your advance and now you in the hole. They're done with you now you might get a second chance and then you might not. Best thing to do in that industry is to create your own way by putting out your own music until you get a following that way you leverage so when they come to you they have to pay alot of money. If you want, I'd rather stay independent or get distribution deal.
The guy was real not a phony celebrity...speaking truth and not a robot puppet celebrity. The guy stood up against the machine and paid with his life...I really admire this mans honesty and realness...I just wish he wasnt so outspoken or else hed still be here.
For whatever reason whether it’s because I watch a lot of conspiracy videos whether it’s because I believe that even a prophet is hated in his own city something tells me that this man was murdered
Michael Jackson, 2 pac, Pimp c, Lil Wayne, Left eye. If you concious and you understand the bullshit the industry does and convey that message through the music, you become a target. They ruin your public image, black ball, or kill you. This also applies when you finally go independent.
lmao naw not at all. Nigga loved music and prolly woulda hated the BLM movement. He seen through all the bullshit. Social activism in 2019 just a clout chase...
@@popparich5686 hell yeah man pimp c honestly a good role model for men today beciase these new guys are fruit loops and industry plants that push stupid agendas
And it only got worse Pimp. Today in 2021 the radio is no longer relevant lol and purchasing a song is no longer relavant either. It's all bout streams. The music industry is truely watered down now and the only way to make money in music is through concerts. With the Covid pandemic going on, concerts are gone now also and if things get back to normal, concert might be outdated by then.
"IT WAS SOMETHING ABOUT BUSSN DAT PLASTIC ON DAT ALBUM, DROPPING DAT NEEDLE ON IT".......THANK ABOUT WHEN YOU GOT DAT NEW ALBUM, AND YOU DROP THE NEEDLE ON IT....THE ANTICIPATION IN THE STATIC OF THE RECORD BEFORE THE SONG EVEN STARTED PLAYING WAS KRAZY...LIKE WANTING TO KNOW THE NIGHT BEFORE WHAT YOU GOT FOR CHRISTMAS 🤦🏾♂️😞🙏🏾R.I.P PIMP C
I think the regional thing he’s talking about is back sorta, I mean everyone just wanna sound like the biggest artist from their area; everyone in Florida tryna sound like Kodak, Chicago Lil Durk, LA Drakeo or whoever
Yes I remember when I went to Texas … my first time hearing chopped and screwed at a club and the guy made me a cd . I played it at home in Detroit they loved it . It was cool to go other places and get new music not the same ish !!!
Pimp C spoke some truth. Unfortunately he was apart the industry and I’m pretty sure he seen some things or done some things that wasn’t right. If you going to say your truth or the truth; tell everything not just a little but all of it. So they public can know. #facts
RNS! I loved getting paid n going to the music store buying a CD and busting open the package! I made a promise to myself that as long as I had a job I was gone by one CD a month. I done bought CDs 4-5x. I miss the art of music. Niggaz ain't trying no more SMH
