I have seen many of your videos, but this one is my absolute favourite so far. It allows a girl like me who is not used to spending much time in front of the mirror and enjoys looking good but not working on looking good to get started without having to make it into a frustrating half-day project, and it also allows people to not be shocked with the overnight dramatic change of appearance because these are more casual styles. Also much less intimidating as there is no curling iron and rats involved. This video is a great foundation to build on, to get comfortable with styling your hair without being overwhelmed.
Ah I love your whole movement as pretty much every video is about like these super long hair styles that you just can't do everyday. So glad to see a lady who is REAL and rocks the vintage look (and you also make me lol loads) xx
Ah! I missed your videos so much! Your hair tutorials are my favorites because they look gorgeous and so easy that I can do them! Will definitely try them for school!
I know this video is from long ago, but I wanted you to know how much you have helped me. I’ve used the pomp, faux victory rolls, and twists (from another video) many times through the years. They are my go-to’s when I’m trying to look decent because I don’t use any heat styling. Still go back and watch your videos every now and then even though I’ve got it down by now. 💜
Very cute, thanks! I'm going camping this weekend, and all of these will help me keep my hair out of my face (it's SO windy in Perth, where I live) without looking like I'm trying too hard! Your little boy is adorable as well.
I've been doing the "pomp" with a ponytail all week at work (along with red lips) and have a few comments on how "glam" and "dolled up" I look Thank you - quick and easy and very very glam!
I love you. Period. Lol I have very little time to do my hair with a toddler tugging at me so I spend half my day looking like a hobo until he naps and I can do my hair. Maybe that will change now. Thank you!
Wow, thanks! I been playing around with my hair, just starting, and you videos are amazing and very detailed but not boring or overwhelming. you definitely have a new follower
I personally can't pull off long hair at all and because of my round face shape and this why my fringe is usually the longest and up to my nose or jaw and I tried all these 6 styles you showed and they work really well on a short hair too. It does need practice quite a lot for it to look nice but it is worth it.
hello, welcome back. I'm brazilian girl, I don't speak or write very well, sorry, but, I'm a future pin up girl and you inspired me. Love you and I'm happy to see you in a new video. Sorry my mistake english! :p
these styles work perfectly for people with thick beautiful hair. i only wish youtube had more videos with women that have thin/balding hair. we can be beautiful too.
Hi!! I just wanted to say that I love your channel everything that I have been searching for for months now is on your channel! You videos are amazing!!! I expecaly love the vintage exercises I've been looking for an easy workout to fit into my schedule thanks and keep up the good work! Xox ♡ Jamie Lynn
every video of yours that is next you look more and more beautiful... and of course I loved the hairstyles... my hair wont hold like that even if my life depend on it... but Ill keep trying :D
Thank you for the fabulous videos. I'm just starting out with vintage hair and makeup so your videos have been great. Do you have one showing you putting in the foam rollers? I tried a wet set on the weekend and found getting the rollers in really fiddly and then the curls were kind of all over the place the next morning so I dampened my hair and got rid of them..boo hoo! Any tips would be great - I assume practice makes close to perfect.
i adore your tutorials... they're so great for me 'cause i am, in fact, a mommy in a hurry! always! haha. ..thanks so much for your great videos/tutorials/ideas... you're very inspiring! and helpful! =)
Can you make a book with your wonderful hair tutorials? It would be very great! So i can look how to style my hair without going online. I love your tutorials and i'm an beginner in retro- and vintagestyles. I'm very grateful that you show us a lot of retrohairstyles. Thank you :-)
this is really cute, and nice of you to share, but some of us have, like, barely a quarter of your hair volume and this would never work ! :D still, thanks for all the lovely ideas, lots of backcombing will probably do the trick, even if it takes a bit longer to do.
Can you do this with layered hair?? I have scene hair that I’ve been kinda letting grow out and I do have layers and some short ones so I’m just wondering. I also have straight bangs
All I can say is try it really, it depends how short your layers are. I always find that a little bit of backcombing and me hairspray works a treat! Let me Know how you get on xx
No, not weird - thank you. I love them too! I am very sad though - I went to get them threaded my my usual girls and the shop had just closed down! Boo hoo!
Lindsay Childs Hi Lindsay. Have you thought about a fringe or Bettie bangs? They hide a multitude of things, including wrinkles. If you don't want to cut a fringe you could try a suicide roll to the front of your head but pull it quite low over your forehead, it'll still look great, or just a barrel roll to the front. I will find the video tutorial for those styles in a minute and post you some links x
