May bagong barkong pandigma ang Philippine Navy mula South Korea, ang BRP Jose Rizal. Ito ang isa sa dalawang missile-capable friggate warships ng Navy na magiging bahagi sa pagpapalakas ng ating territorial defense.
@@keuriseutopoe it is not that we are afraid, it is because we are just taking our time strengthening our Navy and if we fight China right now we will just loose lots of ships and it is not good for a country just starting to build it's Navy.
I guess if we have military factories to produce necessary equipment and have full control of our resources our mines in particular we should stop letting other countries take our resources since we need those resources to be able to supply the military and consumer industry so we wouldn't have to depend on trading and buying the resources from other countries but just to minimize the spent and scrapping metal of old weapons seems a good idea for the rifles I suggest the Heckler und Koch assault rifle it's made of plastic which I think we could handle in terms of manufacturing and it's known to be one of the best assault rifles which I don't see why we shouldn't take a deal on this because resource wise we could minimize the use of resources if we requested for license to manufacture it or to be supplied ( I have more ideas that are on paper but I'll just wait and see what happens next )
Saaking lang dapat hindi ma delay ang mga makabagong gamit na bilhin ng navy dahil ito ang ating pinakamalakas na depensa at may capability na mga assets sana madinig ito ng gobyerno at ipatuloy lang ang modernization
I hope they can find funds for this project before the war comes on our seas. We need more loans from other countries that can provide us with heavy military weapon. When war comes to the Philippines without defense will be sitting ducks like what happen in WW2.

Duterte is sooooo slow with his military modernization, now he has found excuse to delay it further. All he has ordered for external defense are the two frigates which was started by the Aquino administration. His own initiatives are just in paper thus far. We’re sure that his slow down is being applauded by his boss, Xi. Here he is in his fourth year in his term and has nothing to show for external defense. The 1990 Asian recession was used as well as the source of delay for starting military modernization. Philippine presidents are the jinx for Philippine security and why the Philippine water territories are being occupied by China and claimed by so many other countries. Philippine presidents are the sources of national humiliation by other foreign countries. Their omissions border on cowardice and treason.
Packo_ Hubu, now the Taiwanese just ordered 66 F-16’s from a remaining F-16 small factory in North Carolina. With all the time Duterte is taking, it’s going to take several years to get his delivery assuming he even orders them now. The man is so deliberately slow to make sure his boss Xi is happy. teachmehowtodoge, I’m not a yellow party fan either. Aquino is more guilty than Duterte spending only $ 0.75 billion dollars for capital expenditure. Duterte is spending more but, not as much as he should and is way behind the Horizon 2 procurement schedule.

It isn't just vehicles are jammed, govt processes as well Btw, ur claim requires evidence, ie, the "dates" of documents: MOU, LOI, PQI, NoA, Contract signing, NtP, & such -- maxdefense wud be a good start

The 6 OPVs will provide local jobs & prop up economy so it mustn't be delayed (unless such jobs complicate covid19 situation), plus it's to be funded by ODA from Australia (all it needs is a downpayment of 10% or 15% if I remember)... It's ok for the 2 Corvettes to be delayed since it's still in MOU stage, so downpayment unneeded yet, but procurement must avoid delays as possible since that'll still take about 1 yr or so before downpayment

The Philippine leaders needs to understand the importance of having a strong technologically advanced warships to protect it’s sea lanes and ports. China learned that from the United States and Britain that having a strong advanced big Navy controls the sea lanes and ports.. and the economy because of naval blockade.

A strong Navy and a strong Airforce should be the Philippines goal. Like my Country, Philippines is an Island. If you keep the enemy from your shores, then you'll never be defeated. You only need a strong army if you intend to attack other Countries. Otherwise, a 'decent' army is enough.
With all these new assets, will they be able to communicate and work together? Hanwah Naval Shield cms should be on the Rizals and Del Pilars, and 2 upcoming HHI corvettes; are the Yaps compatibile. Is Naval Shield components good enough for over the horizon radar targeting for expensive BVR mls? Is Naval Shield DataLink 16 compatible? Do the US want to share this compatiblity, who knows? AFP doesn’t need satelite realtime strategic communication (maybe?), but the branches of service need to communicate in a modern battlefield, PCG too. Budget with due diligence; spend for maximum effect. GO PN !!! ps 36 MRFs
Don't expect na mababawi pa natin mga island sa Kalayaan Group of Islands kung ganyan naman kabagal ang modernization natin. May mga naitayong airbase na ang mga tsing tsong sa Spratley samantalang tayo hirap pa bumili ng barko.
Philippines need more and MORE equipment and warship boats because aside that we are on danger because of China we are also surrounded by water so we need to defend our territories.

The Gregorio del Pilar and Ramon Alcaraz are also "missile-capable". Even our world war 2 vintage ships can be a launch platform for missiles (as long as the back blast don't cause fires on the ship)
