I love Centaur! used to play the real deal in the arcade in the early 80's. I want to get a restored old school machine and this one is the top of the list hands down.
When I heard Pinball Arcade had plans on releasing Centaur as a requested entry, I thought it was going to be a simple table based on Greek mythology. But it turns out to be a lot more than that, which explains why people were requesting it in the first place!
I also used to play this in the arcades in the early 80s. It was so kool cause it was like the first to allow you to play with multiple balls. And it had all these crazy unecessary sound effects. Oh and the hot chick on the face of the score board.

I'm not well versed in pinball culture at all, but I always loved this one. The art is and music are so moody in a Heavy Metal, 70s/80s dark fantasy way. There's nothing else quite like it out there
Energyone I dont keep up with that stuff but I guess its good to know I'm not the only one who thinks it! I just started playing the table myself, initially I was turned off by its simplicity but then it grew on me.
I absolutely love the opening line 'destroy centaur' I can imagine being in an arcade with this pinball machine in 1981 and hearing someone play Berzerk across the room. That game along with this would make for a perfect sound match.
***** I wonder why they scripted them. Or are those ROMs hard to find? Black Hole seems to be pretty much perfect if you compare it to the original. Never played those other ones.
There's a Special in the Orb Drop Targets. I can't understand how you get it though. So you need to have four power orbs locked, then complete the ORBS drop targets twice(before they release) to earn the Special by the looks of it.
