Is this any special? To a german like me it looks pretty average. When it comes to the word HOOD I am thinking of gangs, filthy roads aso. But this is pretty decent looking. 😁
It seems lower income but still a decent looking place and many are taking care of their homes and yards. I wish them well. Thanks for another tour , Charlie
Sonny Girl maybe they rentin the homes and landlord got people to do it or they are apart of that homeowners group where u buy a house and keep it up or u lose it or somethin
Didn’t think Charlie would find his way to the bluff but he did. My hometown is a small city yet a very dangerous & impoverished place full of blue collar living. It’s on its last leg but they’re trying to save it & rebuild but only time will tell thanks for coming Charlie 💯✌🏿
Team NFE Magnolia Its dangerous in a lot of places in America you don’t know about dock. Just because one place is more dangerous than the other don’t mean it ain’t dangerous. You say you from New Orleans & it’s dangerous but somebody can comment & say they from Chicago which is more dangerous so what’s the argument nigga shit all dangerous!!
DARIN D’ANGELO I agree with you. Just because it’s not as big as “ New Orleans “, doesn’t mean that it’s not dangerous. He’s the type of person that will go there and end up in a body bag for real. I lived there for 5 years and it’s not as safe as it looks.
Thank You so much for showing Pine Bluff, Ark’s hoods. I was looking at RU-vid for decor when you pop the caption Pine Bluff Hoods. I was born and bred on the West side of Pine Bluff, but it has been a very. Very long time since I have been home, since my mother and father are no longer alive. I must say I was shocked 😮 by how Pine Bluff, has deteriorated. So many boarded up and burned out houses. The years have not been kind to Pine Bluff. I wish I could see the street names, but I remember and could identify some areas. Thank You for showing my hometown. Although, it has urban Blythe like a lot of cities. I still Love her, because she’s home for me and I retain good and bad memories of growing up there. Thank You for the job you did capturing Pine Bluff.
Charlie B! Nice videos. Next time your out in NC check out the Hickory / Long View / Granite falls area. It's really similar to a Baton Rouge in that it has alot of projects but also some really wild urban areas. It doesn't get much attention, but things are getting out of hand!
There are many people that live here, especially in those boarded up homes. Pine bluff is an amazingly dangerous place. Summer of 2018 May-Sept I worked selling home security for a company - meaning I was a door to door salesman. Holy shit the conditions that they live in!! Roaches, bugs, mice run rampant throughout their homes, unreported rapes, murder, and arsen. The education system is beyond repair. University of Arkansas - Pine Bluff has a 9% GRADUATION RATE AT THE BACHELORETTE LEVEL. I’ve had to talk people out of hurting me or hurting others. The citizens themselves stay in the house off the streets in fear of getting hurt. The youth aren’t afraid to victimize the old here, and many, including the children, are desensitized to violence and crime.
I was born and raised in this city and i remember when it was still a nice place to live in the lates 70s 80s and 90s now im scared to even visit too much crime and the economy has been the decline of the city as well . alot of dilapidated old buildings and homes and not enough to do anymore every thing i love about my town is a distant memory...still love pine bluff though i will cherish the memories....:(
you need to swing back to milwaukee this summer, you only went when it was crappy. Need to check out Burleigh, Center, Hadley or the whole Metcalfe Park neighborhood
Next time you go through AR, check out Pike Ave in North Little Rock, Rose City (old part of North Little Rock) and Eastgate Apts. Half of NLR is insane
Well, maybe my city isn't a garden paradise. But our crime rate is lower than Little Rock, Baltimore, Detroit, East St. Louis, St. Louis, Chicago, Camden NJ and even Washington DC. I've been here since summer, 1981. I've seen how much PB has fallen, and I hope that things pick up. (Maybe the Casino can help, who knows?) And I have no where else to go. (I'm almost 61. Where else can I go?) And I like it here very much. And there are very good people here. I left St. Louis after it gave me a severe nervous breakdown. I haven't had one here.
Not as bad as other areas but yeah, being close, always hear about someone getting either robbed, stabbed, shot, and even killed. Poor bluff is slowly dieing but there are still decent working people keeping her afloat.
kinda sad about pinebluff, used to be good and now people are fleeing. but like I commented, it doesnt look that bad because living is so cheap there, you can get a house for $600 a month, unline somewhere like New orleans where rent is higher and you are forced to live in a shit bucket

Was born in Pine Bluff at Jefferson Hospital. Moved to Texas in '71. I have no family living there anymore, some of them left when the Cotton Belt shut down, the others have passed. I go back from time to time to visit my Dad. He's buried there. Passed in 1969.
Wow! This reminds me of the part of Detroit off Evergreen and School craft. It's something that a lot of the neighborhoods across the nation look just like this.
I love home and it is a peaceful place it’s the peaceful people there that make it that way. Charlie thanks for sharing the good things in PB like natural country living. This is what I love about The Bluff!
You seen to be only showing the bad area. Why are you not showing the beautiful area of pine bluff. You make it seem like there are no beautiful areas. So, how can people really see just how beautiful pine bluff is.
I grew up in Pine Bluff. It's fine if you know how to observe your surroundings and defend yourself. All weakness is attacked unmercifully there. Your average old lady in PB is tougher than most millenial males.
Sad that it is such a dangerous place. Some people haven't experienced anything better. Where I first lived we left the keys in our vehicles and never thought to lock the house when we went to town. Nebraska, decades ago.
This is a quaint and quiet little town. For the most part, it is clean and it looks comfortable. However, most of the homes look outdated and could use a couple coats of paint and a few repairs. Some of streets could use some repair also, but that is to be expected everywhere. There are a few abandoned homes which I think should be bulldozed. It doesn't look like much violence happens there. BUT...looks are often deceiving. I must say that I do indeed love this little town. Thank you.
One & Only J. Korbyn Oh man you have the wrong impression about Pine Bluff for one he didn’t know the most impoverished sections of the city he didn’t even go to north pine bluff he just rode around in circles in a few sections . But violence & property crime is very bad in pine bluff been named the most dangerous town in America. It’s a small city but it’s no place you wanna fuck around.
You came here lol I live about 20min away from there and really, local county's around pine bluff, we always hear about either someone getting stabbed, robbed, shot and sometimes killed. It's mostly all quiet till dark. Bluff has been dieing for sometime now and doesn't seem to get any better. Other than that, just hard working ppl around trying to make a living.
looks are deceiving tell him to ride those same streets at night then you will see a whole different Pine Bluff this place is also known as crime Bluff Pine Box and stink City some people say it's because of the paper mill other say because they leave you stankin
Arkansas is so cheap to live, that the hoods dont look that bad because people can afford a decent place, I know apartments that are only $350 a month, so you could get a lil house here for $700-900 bucks a month which most can do without gangbangin
Wow I just seen this scrolling on the Tube Pine Bluff is trying to come back. Now that they're rebuilding downtown and the addition of the casino Pine Bluff tryna come back
This is much different compared where I lived before in Geneva, Switzerland, one of the nicest place in the world. The first time I walked on this hood area was because the bus left me from the health center. I had to go in the mall. They told me that is one of the dangerous areas. And I said oh. While I was walking there somebody just bugging talking to me. Now, I am living almost 13 years here and never walked there again. Don’t get me wrong, there is a nicer place in Pine Bluff but just not in those type of hood areas.
Grandparents lived on Texas St S of 6th. The City Hall went up when I was visiting them. I remember the racially divided counters at the Woolworth's on Main, the bus station (rode in and out many times), the Hotel Pines, the Harley shop on Ohio (I think), the outdoor news-stand just of Main by the tracks. It has become a ghost town of a sort. Truly sad. Population was 63,000 then.
Ahh yes.. that’s why I will always love my Arkansas. And believe there are a some really beautiful places here. Every time I travel out of state, I’m always relieved to see these trees! Something about it. Never knew how much I loved it till I travelled and actually missed it so much
Never been to Cali, but being green is normal for Arkansas. Green as far as the eye can see. The northern and western parts of the state are nothing but mountains, lakes and forests.
& Stank City. Idk If Locals Call It That, But People Outside Of PB Do. The Bluff, Crime Bluff, Stank City (Because Of The Paper Mill). I've Never Been To PB, So Idk If There Is A Unique Smell There. I Hear New York Smells Like Piss. Never Been There Either.
I grew up near here. It’s not bad during the day, but I wouldn’t step foot in this place at night. It has really gotten bad in the last decade or two. It’s not their fault, they’re nice people all around, but it is a dangerous place. You need to know how to keep to yourself and to look like someone who’s not to be messed with.
That's what happens when you give free money to fool, like pearls to a pig. Some people use it to invest and duplicate while most use it for drugs and materialism.
its dangerous here.... always have been... always will be.... datz just how it is, its in the water.... but its great at times.... but very dangerous most.... nobody from any other city wanna come live here becuz of the thangs that go on..... double homicides bac to bac and shootings
I grew up in Pine Bluff. Got married in Jamaica. Left the resort, got in a cab, told the driver to take me downtown. He tried to beg off (I'm a white dude). I told him "I'm from Pine Bluff Arkansas: take me downtown." He relented and did as I requested and I had no problems whatsoever.
