That's what I'm saying 50 years ago this rain to drain into the dirt but we'll have no more dirt no more and the Caltrans is not doing anything to prevent this this is every city in California right now small winter rain in the act as if they're flooding

8 inches of rain is more than 200mm of rain, it is a lot even for tropical areas like here in west of Brazil where i live, 200 mm of rain is equal to 200 lt of water in only one square meter (3x3 feet), it is like dropping a barrel of water in a small place. The desert has problem with soil , the soil doesn´t drain the water easily, the water has to run to somewhere, that cause large floods.

I like storms but not terrible ones that damage property and take lives. I don't know if they want people to evacuate esp if living by the ocean, but where could they go? And then crooks pounce on their property and steal you blind. Nothing matters as much as your life, so take care of you.
