14:40 all beans need lots of water and boil for 2-6 hours depending on the beans, soaking overnight is not required but it gts rid of some of the starch and makes it taste a little better. (not sure about kidney beans spesifically, ive never made ee.) (highly reccomend lentils)

I mean what sumito is saying is the oil that you have used on fried chicken is a waste if you're not going to use it until it is dark and unusable. I can fry a chicken but holy hell the preparation and the cleanup after it not to mention, the oil. If I am not planning to have anything fried after that chicken, that is a total waste of oil just for 1 dish. I can make that 1 liter of cooking oil last for a month but if I use it on deep frying, I cannot use that on anything else besides frying because the taste of the chicken already soaked into the oil.

As an American, I think bagged milk is a good idea. It vastly cuts down on plastic waste Or you could just not drink cow milk, it's incredibly unhealthy
