Ha ha, thanks! Yeah, he's 4, but he's caught on real quick! He's so passionate about animals, I wouldn't be surprised if he turns into a mini Steve Irwin.
So this may be an ignorant question, but why in the world would you want to catch carp? (lived next to Utah Lake my whole life and carp are an abomination!)
Good question! Carp Have gotten a bad name because they’re an invasive species in Utah, and tend to “muddy up” the bottom of lakes. And also because they’re as ugly as sin. ... But man, can they fight ... and they are huge! They’re also a nice alternative when it’s too hot to fish for trout. But there will be more to come on carp later. I still think they’re ugly, but I figure I might as well take advantage of them while they’re around!
