@@moltengears7483 They are pretty rare. They live in a small area of Australia, and they only come out at night when it rains, which does not happen often.

That’s another funny thing about the turtle frog. All the other normal-looking frog species in southwest Australia produce all manner of weird unfroglike calls - you hear sounds at night like sad moaning, motorbike engines, or someone plucking a banjo. Then you have the turtle frog, the strangest looking frog imaginable, yet it produces a mundane stereotypical frog “croak”.

Same phenomenon with pugs.

Asian banded bullfrog can qualified. Despite of the name it doesn't related to american bullfrog nor resemble it. It just so round with small head (actually plenty of burrowing frogs oddly have such appearance too. Smol head and round body)
