When I was a kid THIS SCENE TERRIFIED ME but at the same time I liked it

Fun fact: pink elephants used to mean someone high or drunk, and you were seeing things, so you could tell you were seeing pink elephants and people would know what you meant. This is also the scene where they get drunk I think. So that’s why it may seem like a rather random scene and out of place for the movie. I always thought it was a weird scene, not really scary, I was just trying to figure out how everything worked together. Hope that helped explain it to anyone.

Ah, the sweet nostalgia. Brings me back to my childhood nightmares.

Aside from being, yknow, TRAUMATIZING, this is one of the most hypnotically creative animations I've ever seen.

Now I remember why this scene scared the *SHIT* out of me as a kid...

This is still one of the trippiest, weirdest, most awesome animation sequences ever.

Oh my god you can tell the Disney animators had fun animating the original.

The reason for this sequence was because getting passed out drunk in this era of time was colloquially called "joining the elephant parade".

I could hardly believe my eyes! Somebody remade Pink Elephants on Parade! I'm 61 and this was my favorite song when I was little. It wasn't quite as dramatic but for the times it was crazy cool!

This a real piece of art. The thing about film is it has to have genuine choreography like this with art in the film. Like random art properly choreographed. Which this is very nice.

I'm going to show this to my future child and say "now this is why we don't do drugs"

I always liked this scene as a kid. Sure, I thought some of it looked odd and a bit creepy, but I was too distracted by the catchy music and the way the animators made each visual fit with the music so well. Looking back at it as an adult and hearing multiple people tell me that this scared the shit out of them as a kid, I can’t help but think: “If I had realized sooner rather than way later in life that these visions were caused by drinking alcohol, and if I hadn’t been able to separate fiction from reality, I’m sure this would’ve made a good “don’t drink if you’re underage” PSA….”
