My dad rented this movie when I was ten or eleven years old. I tried to tell my peers at school about it, and they thought I was full of shit. "A movie like that just couldn't exist! Nobody would be allowed to make it!!".This movie and "Bloodbath at the House of Death". Everybody was convinced I was lying about them.
I thought it couldn't be as crazy as it was too. I unfortunately had the end spoiled, but everything in between was unexpected. Just when I thought it couldn't get crazier, it got crazier.
This entire movie is proof of what good dialogue, good performances, and a passionate crew can do. This and Clerks are my go-to's when someone says "It's not supposed to be good! They didn't have a big budget!"

I remember that during the late 70s "Midnight Movie" craze, this John Waters film and "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" were the two most popular flicks shown during that fad ! How sad that Divine left us much too soon ! John Waters is certainly one gifted filmmaker !
