Agreed. A little "slow shred" ties quieter parts of the song together nicely, but with some purpose. The best thing I've heard from her in some time, maybe, as you said, ever. If you haven't heard her rendition of Mme Butterfly, I was genuinely moved by it - give it a listen!

I'm 67yo now, and been listening and tryin to play since the 60s. From the first time I heard Pink Floyd, not even knowing at the time who they were, and well before The Wall, they were a fav. I was stationed on Guam when The Wall came out. I woke up about mid morning one day thinking the roomie must've gotten new speakers, and cranking PF, only to discover Andersen AFB B-52s had gone on alert, and we're taking off, one after another, sounding like they were nearly over the apt we lived in, which was just a few miles from Dededo. With the Tinian Gold from the night before still lingering, it was an exhilarating experience. Needless to say, afterwards, we had to put the album on the turntable and enjoy it from the Cerwin Vega's and AR's. Tks for bringing back a memory.

@@DaveWhoa I don't think I need to, but sure, why not: To me most "shredding" doesn't sound musical, more like listening to someone doing scale exercises as fast as they can. There are exceptions, but I haven't found that many. (Randy Rhodes comes to mind.)

Это настолько просто для человека, который хотя бы пару лет играл, что даже говорить бессмысленно. На гитаре за 1500 долларов (это очень средний уровень) можно играть гораздо интереснее .

I still can't get over the awesome finish on the Kiesel! You rocked it once again as usual. The hard part is to realize what makes Gilmour so good is that he plays less notes, but the right ones. For those of us old enough seeing them live was a pinnacle experience.

Сыграно технично - вопросов нет. Но картинка перекрывает музыку. Нет в ней Гилморовской составляющей. Но красиво - можно без звука смотреть :)

Если бы ещё картинка, а точнее - действия рук, соответствовали звуку - было бы вообще шикарно)) А так - в одном месте звучит вибрато, а рука почти не шевелится, в другом наоборот - рука делает вибрато, которого не слышно))

Great performance. True rockstar! It’s more about the music and age , looks or gender have nothing to with it. Sophie is pure talent and it shows. She’s on my radar for local performances. I believe she should make an appearance with David or Roger on tour because the fans could appreciate a different take on a legendary song/band. AND the fans can sing the vocals! Thank you Sophie❤

This is absolutely mesmerizing. I was 8 years old when I was introduced to this album and song. David Gilmour’s voice and the first solo was the pinnacle moment that forged my love of music.
