Oh Boy! Big mistake! Recently, I turned to a TV channel that was showing a Pink Floyd concert in Venice and my wife saw it (1st time she had ever heard of Pink Floyd) and asked if I could play this song. I said no, I haven't learned any of their songs. She said why not, don't you have a guitar like that one. I said yes, it's a Stratocaster, but I don't have those skills. She said, you can play good, can't you learn it?...I love that song. So here I am subscribed! Thanks Mr. Gugoski for posting this excellent tutorial...now back to my Strat. I got work to do! :)

@@ElHugoWorld Sorry it has taken so long to reply. Back then, I had 5 new songs to learn on my list and this one had to wait. I am ready to play the 4th one in a live gig and about 3/4s of the way from memorizing notes on the 5th. I like to start a new song before I finish learning a previous one, so I just started with Comfortably Numb. Also, had Covid 19 and so lost some time then. It lasted only about 12 days, but did not feel like playing my guitar for over a month. Now I am back again to where I don't want to put it down! :)

Nicely played out, however what bugs me a bit is, that the tab only turns to the next page, when you have already started playing that bit, isntead of giving a little heads up.

How do you do the 7* tab?
@DevilsAvocado69
@DevilsAvocado69 29 дней назад
It's a pinch harmonic. Just give it a good pluck and let the string just touch the skin of your thumb after you pluck it, all one quick motion... This comment is a year old hopefully you have either learned this already, you don't play guitar anymore or I just done you a solid. All the best.

I came here after seeing some of your other videos, assuming you'd have this one transcribed as its a legendary classic, also after watching a couple other videos that were frustrating, full speed, poorly transcribed versions, and man o man this one is it. Subbed, shared, liked. ty for making great content.

Strings break. That's life. When was the last time you changed them?
@Luca_505

@@musefan12345 Two weeks ago, but the strings were 009, that's probably the reason...
@musefan12345

@@Luca_505 they still shouldn't break that easily. Gilmour uses super light strings to allow him to make 4 fret bends. Where did it snap? When a string breaks from normal wear and tear it usually breaks close to the bridge. If it breaks further up the neck it's usually a problem with a sharp edge on the nut.
@Luca_505

@@musefan12345 It broke in the 12° fret... Nothing in the bridge or nut... Weird
@MrBenSThomas

@@Luca_505 The fret may be rough, which could have caused the string to weaken at that point.
