My dad introduced me to Pink Floyd 21 years ago sadly he passed away yesterday and today I came across this song and it gave me so much meaning to his life RIP Dad

Sometimes a song comes into your life _right_ when you need it. Boy am I glad I stumbled upon this tonight.

I'm 60 years old, and I can't even tell you what all these coments on this song and band do to restore my faith in humanity. The modern music is so unbelievably bad, and makes me puke. So glad to see alot of young people recognise what was some of the best music ever created. Will always be great and timeless.

I don't understand why this album is so underrated. This is one of my favorite Pink Floyd albums.

Pink Floyd is the greatest band of all times.

My dad would play this full blast when I was young. One of his favorites. He passed away one night 2 years ago at 58yrs old

The room is dark... it’s 3 AM .. I just lit a cigarette.. my speaker is mildly playing Pink Floyd and the sound is traveling throughout the room.. like a floating ghost.. the fumes of my cigarette are also floating.. 3 AM is the perfect time to observe the ceiling .. Ahh life! 😅 Update after 4 years: I forgot in which circumstances i wrote these lines.. but certainly i can feel the void inside these lines.. as an update about life, nothing changed much.. still i stare through the emptiness.. but nowadays i try to sleep by 12.

I can still remember the first time i heard this song. I was leaving the cemetery from spending our day with my girl friend's brother. He was such a huge Pink Floyd fan. He would ramble about them to me all the time. Unfortunately, when he was alive, I was too impatient to like Pink Floyd at the time. Towards the evening, the sky became dull, covered in big fluffy marshmellow clouds. We started driving and we set Spotify to play Playlist "Falken." It was a collection of artist my brother in law loved. A couple of minutes in, a gap in the sky openned up, spreading the light of the sun in a sky to ground like pattern. The intro of this song was playing in the background as my girl friend and i looked at each other very emotionally. When i checked the phone to find out what the name of this song was, i was struck by the fact that the playlist we thought we chose wasn't the one playing. It was one of those "based on similar artist" playlist. I laughed a little because it couldnt get any more cliche but at the same time we both shed tears because it felt like our beloved Falken was sending us this magical song. RIP Falken. I'm sorry i didnt understand your passion for Floyd when you were alive as i do now.

I honestly couldn't imagine going through life without Pink Floyd, I swear this music is inextricably linked with my soul ✌️

David Gilmour has the best phrasing of notes i've ever heard of any genre of guitarist, and i'm one myself. He's not going to blow you away with speed and shredding, but even better he's gonna hit you right smack in the heart with his soul and very emotional guitar licks. And that's a very special gift in itself.

This song is going to be my anthem when the Covid-19 Pandemic ends. Killing the past... and coming back to life.

I'm 17 and I grew up listening to Pink Floyd. My first language is not English so I had no idea what these lyrics meant, yet this song always moved me like no other. I eventually learned English and could understand what it said, but I don't think it ever made as much sense to me as it does at this very moment. I don't think I've ever felt this lonely... My mom died of cancer when I was only 8, yet this despite that this song sort of explains my life perfectly... And being set to one of my fav documentaries is a bonus, despite the lack of HD, which we all know planet earth is avaliable in. That's the one thing I would change about this video...

I've had this song in my grief playlist since the beginning of 2017. It's hard to hear it without becoming emotional, even now. He told me part of this song reminded him of me, and sang it to me. I miss him more than I could ever put into words. 💔

So I used to listen to this song with my older brothers when I was 17 years old, not really having too much connection to it. And then my brother passed away at the age of 27.
