My dad always told me I would love pink floyd when I was older.....I always said no way....34 years old pink floyd is the only band that can make me cry.....I miss my dad.
@@donnalachner4018 I saw your comment &, seeing as we're here on the same day, I thought maybe you might like this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6Fbt-h9Q4vA.html It's noweher near Floyd standard but so far, the few who've heard it, said it was a nice place to be. Hope you enjoy, that's all I'm hoping for with my music. Peace.
Greatest band ever....I owe my life to these guys, if it wasn't for their music I would not be here today !!! They helped me through a lot of troubled times. God Bless!!!
Some of the most heavenly sounds ever strummed together! I believe they will echo, throughout the infinite universe. I have high hopes that anybody out there , will breathe it in, as much as I have. I only wish you were here to enjoy it.
as soon as I listen to this song the tears come to my eyes and the chills invade me, it is a pure wonder and this feeling inhabits me since 1981. Thank you Pink floyd for having created it.
I have the same feeling when I am at the beach looking at cloudy skies and seeing the sun's rays reflected, wow it really really makes me feel like God is talking to me
You might as well listen to the older version of "is the anybody out there" in this link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1Lcd9KCKBxU.html
@@stoned466 This stuff "is the anybody out there is Roger's" not dave's. You can be sure by listening to the original version of it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1Lcd9KCKBxU.html
Back when great music was made by great musicians, who were incredibly talented and could speak to their audiences! What a phenomenon era of incredible music. An experience!
Another song that haunted me even when I was 6… I kept asking my late father to keeping re-playing it back then…there was no extended instrumental on the album back then. So we had to keep replaying it… but a very special memory now.
I've been a Pink Floyd fan for 50 years and have never stopped listening to them... Their music is the closest thing to opera in my generation... And what do we have today? Rap, hip hop and bubble gum music... Go figure...
Pink Floyd's music touches the heart & mind at the same time, bringing together harmonies that will last lifetimes, touching countless souls on their journey in time...💚
I just posted this beautiful piece of musical genius to Facebook, I hope other people will enjoy it as I do, so whoever did this, thank you very much!!!!
long live Pink Floyd . Through many winters springs summers and falls . To the many hard filled days we live to come home and have this music to soothe one mans soul . All we say is thank you Mr Floyd ...

I love the reference to Charlie Daniels band Devil went down to Georgia great song in its own right but Pink Floyd's one of the best bands ever. Pink Floyd and deep purple and King Crimson are my favorite bands of all time. Pink Floyd is so deep in it's music.
3am driving from Nellis Air Force Base in a green Chevy Vega, to visit my Parents in Victorville, 1979...this playing on my eight track player best time of my life!
God bless for your service🙏 my nephew is in the Air force, in China at the moment, God bless all of you🙏🙏🙏🍀 applause for your service🌠 Last time I saw Pink Floyd, 1994 in El Paso, tx, best I have ever seen,
Es una música que me define. La melancolía es una parte de mi vida, pero a la par, es dulce. Pink Floyd, es un grupo especialmente sensibilizado y por eso no se puede olvidar nunca
I'm currently learning the guitar and my dad showed me this song when i was a kid, just last night I asked for some help and we got side tracked and just started having fun with it, my dad started playing this and it brought tears to my eyes, my new goal is to learn this
Bobby Parker it's actually easier than you think. Although just like any song on the guitar you need to slow it down and break it into small chunks. Still remains one of my favourite songs to play. I haven't looked on RU-vid but I'm sure there will be a video on here teaching you how to play it. Enjoy learning it my friend
I STARTED LISTENING TO PINK FLOYD IN MY YOUNGER TEENS AND NOW AT 64 ITS THE BEST THING I COULD HAVE EVER DONE MUSIC WISE IT'S COVERED A LOT OF BASE'S IN MY LIFE....!!!
As a person in his 60s and who grew up on Pink Floyd, there is something about their music I never noticed before which, I see clearly now. The majority of Pink Floyd songs are based on a Christian view point. It was like a eureka moment when I finally realized the Spiritual side of Pink Floyd's music. That in its self is astounding as today I am an Archbishop.
Here it is, so piercing, with shades of luminous sadness, and peacefully beautiful Pink Floyd's music... The music of our youth and for ever! Arthur from Russia
during my youth, in the 60's, i was among the happy few who enjoy the early years of "pink floyd", and song after song, they never disapointed us, being "only the very best", i can't stop listening to their beautiful melodies.... and they still move me, shake my soul, like no other, thank you all of you, David, Roger, and others.
my brother in law used to play this on his guitar and i always asked him to play the long version which didnt excist so he had to play it over again and again finally a long version
@@swamifakkananda4043 in the first part of the song when chorus "is there anybody out there". However it's not their first song with other host artists. Gilmour was good to play that classics riff but he's love how joe diblase touch. Have a cigar also was sing by Gilmour'S friend Roy Harper. Bob Ezrin was atom heart mother classical instruments composer. However in the wall other parts of guitars was played by other guitarist, example the fast rithmic guitar of "one of my turns" or another one.... I don't remember specifically. You can find these informations on their Mason Pink Floyd bio book or in another well made book by Lunatics, full of interesting Pink Floyd tales
How a 35 second long continious repetition of music supports these images so perfectly. This can only mean the composition is of outstanding fine quality.
Amazing looping of achords. We are so lucky for living at same time that those four (or five) guys wich produced songs like this. I'm so gratefull for living now.
Hi over there! In original version, this musical piece lasts exactly one minute, but it tells the whole life of a person - from a fabulous childhood to a dreamy youth, then comes maturity fighting for justice, hopes for changes for the better and, finally, sadness from disappointment with all the years lived and loss of illusions. This work is the quintessence of human life, told concisely and very clearly to those who see it.
I have many things to be thankful of, to be born in the mid fifties and experience Floyd, specifically in my teens, had a massive impact on me. This culminated in ‘94 at Earls Court. Without doubt, living in the same era as Pink Floyd, the greatest band in the world, a privilege that could never be rivalled . Thank you Pink Floyd
I had a physiology teacher that told us that whatever state of mind we are in while we are studying..such as listening to music 🎶 ..we would perform better on the test if we were in that same state of mind.. I asked her if we could test that theory. I told her I was listening to Pink Floyd while I was studying. Can we listen to Pink Floyd the wall in the next test. Most of the class listened the Pink while studying for the next week's test. Most everyone scored better than their average. A few students in the class kept us from doing it again..with that song 🎵 or any others. When me and my classmates would see them on other parts of the campus...we always greeted them with "Boooooooo".😁 Thankful to have some of those teachers grace my classes. Life lesson that stick with you. Made an A and a friend for life.
Through the years, Pink Floyd music has touched my life with its ups and downs, to the point, I wonder how it hits that nerve when your not even conscious about it any longer. It’s time to make new memories for it to choose from...
Listen to sir carl jenkins The Armed Man, Benedictus. Comissioned by the British war mob, as a movement for peace. Watch the carl Jenkins interviews too. Love floyd, love anything that makes you think. Ta.
