It was so loud but perfectly clear, each note reverberated through your body and the video doesn't show how bright the lights were from the mirror ball. You couldn't think, couldnt see, couldn't feel anything other than what they wanted you to see and feel. The world just spun away and you felt like you were suspended in space with just the music holding you up. I full on cried and I certainly wasn't the only one in tears - it was a truly religious experience. When we left the gig the crowd was almost silent, just shuffling out in a trance. I remember standing on the tube platform afterwards and all you could see around you was people just trying to process what we'd seen with a "WTF just happened?" look in their eyes. No other band has come close to what the Floyd achieved on that tour and I honestly don't think anyone ever will.

I was young at this period, and didnt love Pink Floyd, too much music and not anythough lyrics, and this concert went out on DVD, and I don't know why I bought it (Ok I admit it, I loved Another brick in the Wall), and I watch the complete concert, and felt in love with their music, it has totally changed my point of view on their music, and that's when I had to listen all what they had made before. What a band, what a music, what a show, imply the best......

I saw them in France at the Versailles castle in 1988. I was 16, none of my friends were into Pink Floyd so I went alone. To this day I remember the chills I had listening to that solo. It was warm and windy, kind of like all the elements had united to make it a perfect moment, like you said, we were all levitating. I had a French literature exam the next morning at 8am, and I aced the thing, still high on what on that amazing experience I will never forget 😊

You are correct! That was actually an amendment to the Geneva convention. It has also been added to the requirements for a country to join NATO. It was added to NAFTA requirements, the Anti-nuclear proliferation treaty, added to the list of cruel & unusable punishment, is banned as a acceptable tactic for interrogations & been given "Foreign Diplomat status" as well as, been added to the requirements for a person to gain citizenship, in the U.S. All facts! In my opinion, they also need to add a ban on playing air-guitar, during the solo.

"never seen anything like this" because there never was anything like this, before or since. I was about 10 when my parents took me to the '94 tour in Barcelona. I'm still there in a way. That tour was ridiculous. Only available at Olympic-tier stadiums or else the absurdly big stage wouldn't fit, with all its curtting edge engineering, light and laser work, giant inflatable pig heads, etc. Lol. Advise you to check out the entire concert really

A Pink Floyd concert definitely was a treat for all the senses. I got the privilege of seeing them live twice in the early 1990s in large outdoor stadiums (both night concerts). Pink Floyd always believed in making their concerts an experience that you would never forget. Truly a unique band. I appreciated that you made a mention of the light show and the "lotus disco ball" element during the guitar solo of this song. The music itself would have been transcendent for those of us in the audience, but as a buddy of mine who saw the first concert with me said, "the guitar solo on 'Comfortably Numb' was a religious experience." I have to agree.

Everyone was speechless at the end of this solo. We were all high on emotion and completely blown away, really. This concert was really impressive and imposing; the stage was just ... HUGE!!! Worth the price of a ticket just for this song alone. But there was another 2 hours of this tour.

@@SooLooG it was one of 5 nights at the venue, and our seats were b beat the back. There were pricier seats available, but I was only 18 and had to factor in travel from the NW of England to the South. Just remember it being a stunning concert.

Good reaction, to a great performance man. I suggest “Run Like Hell”, “Sorrow”, “High Hopes”, “Keep Talking”, “Coming Back To Life”, should get you well started. Tip - There is Not One bum song, so you can’t go wrong with any of the tracks from “Pulse”.

Brought a tear to my eye watching your reaction, in my opinion Pink Floyd we're the best of the best. I'm 63 and have just realised the album, The Wall is 42, two thirds my age and still being discovered by younger people. Check out "On the turning away" my preference, the Delicate sound of thunder live DVD. 👍

Great reaction. Any song from this show is spectacular but It is definitely worth checking out "run like hell" from the pulse show. It was the last song (directly after comfortably numb). They really pulled out all the stops with the lighting and pyrotechnics. When you're done with pulse it is worth listening to pink floyd as they were meant to be heard......full albums.

The whole Pulse Tour concert was a masterpiece from the first moment til the very end, entirely composed through from video clips integration over the light show up to the studio-like quality of the sound. This was ground-breaking and so ahead of time that it has been unmatched ever since, also almost 30 years later. Something on this scale has never been pulled of since.
