Pink Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond - Neighborhood Picnic Band 2019 

I've heard that "for fun" line before, and it sounds like an excuse for something. Has the fun been lost at some point and replaced with some other type of emotion?

@@MrJohnnyDistortion absolutely, it’s actually more fun because we’re all prouder of the results. Originally it was just a jam really, like someone throwing out a song suggestion and most just winging it, but it’s more fun when we don’t hear all these mistakes before we took it more seriously.

The drummer's not being shown enough, only a random fills, but not when he's actually just grooving, everybody else is getting constant camera time

And Dan VanSchindel the drummer provides many of the high harmonies in many of the songs, you have to watch him back there to see him moving his lips ...yep he sings harmonies, he's got a great ear, but many times we work out who's better suited for certain harmony vocals

We actually probably practiced this only about 20 times before this show, and only two takes with the full band the day beforehand. Every year it’s a new setlist, so we all do our homework and try to bring our A game the day of!

That was Matty's girlfriend at the time. It was nice to add her voice on a few tunes.

Not to disappoint you Ronald but all of the songs we pick are just songs we really like or have always wanted to play. Remember we are between 64 and 66. We're really aren't concerned about what's trending. We mostly just want to enjoy playing music with each other. You never know how long you'll be able to do it. We're preparing for the 2022 picnic as we speak.... thanks again for the nice comments. Dan

@@NeighborhoodPicnic-tp7eb Of course!! I was just speculating, and it produced a response! I am 71 and was a big Rock Music fan growing up in the late 60's and 70's. The greatest music of the last 100 years was made during that time. I am glad to have discovered this group!
