All live Pulse: money and Another brick in the wall have extended drops. Great Gig in the Sky, SORROW, KEEP TALKING has a very big surprise. Their opener Shine on You Crazy Diamond, High Hopes. Oh man what a journey.

After you get through a few more Pulse songs, I recommend On the Turning Away from Delicate Sound of Thunder, Echoes both in Pompeii (1971?) and also at Gdansk (2006?), and just about anything from Gilmour in Pompeii in 2016. You really can’t go wrong.

Love when new Floyd fans are jumping in hard. I'd recommend Sorrow next, and then Shine On You Crazy Diamond 1-5, then 6-9 as close to doing 1-5 as you can so you don't lose the feel. One video for the two would be fantastic, but that might be too long for you at almost 30 minutes.

For a different feeling - The Great Gig In The Sky - a song sung without words. Both the Pulse and DSOM Album versions

When Pink Floyd performed these classics live the entire stadium was wired for sound with speakers 360° around the stadium. So when those chimes ring out in the beginning, you hear it in full quad separation with the different sounding chimes coming at you from every corner of the stadium.... Behind you (no matter where you're sitting) in front of you, from either side, and even from above! Imagine one massive 200,000 watt set of headphones with you sitting smack dab in the middle, and that's basically what we were hearing at this show. They do not skimp on the production. So as great as some of these tunes sound here, it simply pales in comparison to the in-person experience. I think you're ready for the next step up... "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" 1-5, next. And see why Mr Gilmour is truly the G.O.A.T. when it comes to the guitar. Studio version first! 👍

Shine on You Crazy Diamond Parts I-V from the album Wish You Were Here 1975. There's a second part also (Parts VI-IX). The two songs bookend the Wish You Were Here album. Both are brilliant. A must-listen for a burgeoning Pink Floyd fan.

I have to agree - when you say Pink Floyd, Shine On You Crazy Diamond or Echoes always come to mind first. Both of these songs are absolute masterpieces. However, I recommend the studio version of Shine (it's a bit longer than the concert version) and Echoes is understandable to see as a live version in Pompeii...

The album version didn't do anything for me. But THE LIVE PULSE VERSION!! ("You were hanging yourself on someone else's words, Dying to believe in what you heard") That opening solo is ETHEREAL! He just takes your hand, and musically leads you out into the universe. Gilmour truly is the G.O.A.T. (It's rumored that once, waaay back in the day, Eric Clapton was asked by a reporter what it felt like to be the greatest guitarist in the world. He responded, 'I don't know. You might want to ask David Gilmour that.')

If you like Daviid and Richard haromnizing, try ECHOES, from the album MEDDLE. there are two live versions i,d recommend, first is live at Pompeii comes in two parts and the second is DAVID GILMOUR , REMEMBER THAT NIGHT. Richard Wright plays with him at that concert. They are both EPIC. YOU WON,T REGRET EITHER OF THEM.

I don't know that I'd call him THE best guitar player, but he's definitely up there as one of the best. There are just too many of them to really say one is better than the others. I mean we're talking about guys like Richie Blackmore (Deep Purple / Rainbow), Jimmy Page (Led Zep) or Jimi Hendrix. They're all extremely talented, and so is Gilmour--obviously.

If you are going to react to this again with the missus, might I suggest that you do the "Pulse version" of "Time" and then allow it to run into "The Great Gig in the Sky". Two songs that really are meant to be experienced together...

You have the video inverted or reversed or something. (If that's the word) David Gilmore is right handed and in this video he is playing left handed. I couldn't work out what was wrong initially until it struck me.

Musically as a whole, as well as the guitar solo specifically, I think the performance from the previous tour titled The Delicate Sound Of Thunder is a better performance. I would stand by that for every track, actually. The stage production for Pulse was better, though. I saw both tours live in person in actually the same venue 6 years apart. The backup singers were better, too. One of them, Durga Mc Broom, was on both tours.
