@@apollomemories7399 Roger was part of it as well but he was the one that gravitated away from that sound more than the others did. As great as The Wall and The Final Cut are, they don't really sound like Pink Floyd albums overall, with the exception of a few songs.

Big Floyd fan! I fell asleep a few years back with my TV on Sundance channel i believe ,hours later I started to dream of being chased through the woods by my cousin, when we were children, whose name was Eugene, and when he caught me and started to hit me with the ax I woke up and stared at the television and heard Roger’s voice, screaming , watched for a few minutes didn’t know what the hell I was looking at never never saw it, but now it is in my thoughts and dreams forever.😂

Well roared, Lion. Indeed...that's the essence of inventing Space Rock. And they were the godfathers together with Hawkwind. Since then rock music was taking off,learning to fly and explored everything they want to. It's transcendental in a good way. And notes are transforming,become VIBRATION. All in the universe is build on...vibrations. Waves...that are all rolling into your mind...beautiful cause you can feel it!

Great compilation. I like to do those for myself. Yours flows very well. I enjoy starting and finishing with 2 versions of "Careful", being the first adapted to the soundtrack and wih another name. I only miss "Country song" ( that is "looking at the map" with vocals). "Binding my TIme" would be a good album closer, but the time would excede - or it coulg go full "double album" mode and include also "Fingal´s cave" and even "Embryo" live

@@TehDubster No, most of these are actually from official releases over the years including Pink Floyd's own boxed set. The only one I'm not clear on is this version of 'Come in number 51'. I've just asked the uploader about that one. It may be from the box but it's so immense, I can't remember! When he says 'fan-made album' he means it's his own compilation.

I remember that for Embryo I bought a vinyl sampler album, as it wasn't on the original Zabriskie Point soundtrack. Harvest Records was just founded. I found the Floyd track a bit disappointing, lol, but the double (!) had lots of other bands and soloists from the same era. Picnic; a Breath of Fresh Air , 1970. Nuggets from the Pretty Things (their excellent post-psychedelia period), Kevin Ayres, Roy Harper, Pete Brown & Piblokto, Syd Barrett's Terrapin and ogod, Bakerloo's fantastic rock-bluesy This Worried Feeling. Save for Barrett , Pretty Things and Ayers all bands were unknown to me (and most were never heard of again) It was a very welcome addition to The Rock Machine Turns You On (1968) and, two years later, Fill Your Head With Rock, which was even more sensational - I heard a track from the highly desired first Argent album! 'Dance In The Smoke'. Heavenly! These samplers greatly helped to broaden my pop experience. Unfortunately I never bought the Bakerloo album, it was quite rare...but fifteen minutes ago I found their first record on - Praise Hurley, Chen and Karim! - RU-vid. So I'm off to the wizard!

V. nice comp. (although missing 'Violent sequence; aka Us&Them, that Antonioni rejected! ): Just a hopefully helpful note: those who have seen the film (voted, btw, one of "the 50 Worst of all time'* (!) by H. Medved's book, way back in '78) will know that the end 'Axe' here is what was used (shorter duration) in the film (including exploding fridge with slow motion contents flying about* - some of that used in their '73/4 live screen gigs), and was then titled as "Come in .. 51": sharp eared fans will probably recognise what is "51" here (1st track) is more of a wig out version of the 'Rise&Shine' segment of 'Alans' Psych Brekkies' on AHM, as Rick's keyboards hints: e.g. you can almost imagine/hear it going into the kettle whistle thereon :-) *the only worthwhile bit to see - right at the end: so Medved was right as it's tedious bore throughout, otherwise! Ohh, & 'more': 'Alan's Blues' is, of course, their only 'studio' release of the tune they often played as an encore - most notoriously, the last ever at the chaotic (Wall/'spit' instigator) Montreal, Canada, '77 tour closedown gig.

Thank you to all the Pink Floyd fans who suggested titles for this RARE STUDIO BOOTLEG from around '69. Again,this song; 1.was about 6 minutes long and sung by Roger,I believe 2. It featured an upbeat renissance-like organ melody which sounded like a psychedelic WALTZ and a trippy middle 8 guitar solo with wah-wah and distorted sounds 3. The lyrics were of one's reminiscing of a young love with movements captured in time and still flowing in his mind The song wasn't "summer of '68" If anyone has any STRONG INTUITION about the title of the above song based on the description, please feel free to share your title ideas with me. Thanks!❤

I looked through my notes that I started hand-written some 40 years ago and since made into a data file on my pc and can't see what you're describing. Are you certain this track is only available on a bootleg? Have you heard all of the studio recordings from 68-70? What it's not is anything from The Committee sessions. It's likely not an outtake from A Saucerful Of Secrets or More or Ummugumma, but... It could be from the Zabriskie Point sessions, but your description doesn't match anything. It's not from Atom Heart Mother sessions. I take it you have listened to the Relics album and it's not Biding My Time?

Here is a list of titles people gave me from BEST to WORST possibilities: 1. Afternoon from the man and the journey 2. Egor I Opizoinevshie 3.Saucerful of Secrets part 4 4. Behold the Temple of Light 5. Roger's boogie(it could be the sub-title for the middle 8 of this song) Another person suggested this song can be found on the "370 Roman yards",LP
@apollomemories7399
@apollomemories7399 2 месяца назад
@@calliopivogiatzis2235 OK, these are my notes on these selections you just mentioned. 1. Afternoon - is another variant version of Biding My Time. It's song #3 of 7 from The Man, the first section of The Man And The Journey. The Man And The Journey version has a trombone solo and that does not seem to match your previous description. This track lasts for 6min 39sec. 2. Egor I Opizoinevshie - I'm sorry, but I know absolutely nothing about Russian bands. 3. Saucerful of Secrets part 4 - is the Celestial Voices section of the last 5 minutes of the live version on the Ummagumma album and not what you are looking for. Dave on the vocal. 4. Behold The Temple of Light - is song #7 of 8 from The Journey, the second section of The Man And The Journey. This track lasts for 5min 32sec and instrumental, so not what you're looking for. 5. Roger's Boogie - is a 4min 30sec instrumental. The LP "370 Roman Yards" is the Zabriskie Point sessions and none of the tracks are difficult to find as they are all on RU-vid. See Discogs for the LP track listing. Bootlegs often mess information up as wrong titles are used.
