Do you need 8 hours for its initial charging?

I had to look up a RU-vid video on how to pair my Apple Pencil USBC to my iPad 🤦🏻‍♀️ it works now, but yeah. No compatibility with the second generation

the stylus pen .. is alooot more easy to connect and cheaper .. and won’t have problems with . iii bought the Apple Pencil and regret it because even know it’s compatible w the ipad .. it has trouble charging and DOSENT be connecting to the ipad .

The Apple Pencil definitely has its downsides. I’ll definitely keep the stylus pen in mind as an alternative
