My favorite technique for that stretch of the river is spinner fishing. Blue body, a silver blade with a stripe of pink flash tape and fitted with a single Siwash hook was the killer setup for me in 2019.
U need to come to Alaska. I just got back from Valdez , theirs thousand of pinks there lol but I was fishing for coho silver salmon. Going to Seward tomorrow for more silvers. Good videos. I used to live on fort Lewis as a teenager late 80’s. I remember the puyallup river great video I’m going to now watch more I’m new subscriber
Man I always thought South Louisiana was the sportsman paradise, but seeing your videos, y’all have a lot of opportunities up there as well! Great video
@@bebe0928 you’re welcome Yak! I’m headed to the Puyallup river today after work. I’ve been fishing there all my life and never considered slowly retrieving my line after I cast. Gonna give that a shot today!
Your buddy hooks a fish...sends you for the net....and you net for him, you hook a fish, get the net for yourself and net your own fish while you buddy keeps fishing....interesting methods at play here haha then you ask him to net and hes too busy for a bit....man that attitude would drive me nuts! This is why i hunt and fish with a select crowd
What type of gear like hooks and lures are you allowed to use on the Puyallup River.? I've been reading a lot of stuff recently and it's very confusing on what I can and can't use to catch salmon in the Puyallup River..
Hi, there no specific address, but you can go tot the Hwy 167 River Road in Tacoma, and find a place to park then walk down the river and you are ready to fish, it’s the entire stretch of then river off the road. Hope that helps, thanks!
Can you tell me where the fish are caught? I want to try and catch some fish there. Refers to the parking spot or the point where I stand to catch fish. I'm Thai. I live in Eugene. Thank you very much.

I am in eugene as well. Washington is an amazing fishery, but you are also in the PNW. You are not far(literally minutes) from similarly great fishing..
I've long believed the puyallup's gotta have some pretty good size cats swimming around in all that murky water. Anyone out there able to confirm by personal experience?

Man, you’re “friend” Alvin don’t act like much of a “friend”. That guy had NO sense of positive vibes when you were hooked up. The guy didn’t put the effort to try and help you net.
Oh yeah across from the shell station between the shit plant outlet and the weigh station. Anyone get their gas tank poked or Windows busted yet? That river is a joke. No fishing ethic's any more.
Las week I scared off some tweakers looking into parked car windows. I'm 10 minutes from the river and have my wife drop us off . I'll probably end up in jail if I catch any thieves messing with fisherman's cars.
