Thanks mate, yeah it’s one colour that has always caught me big salmon from the canals. Caught my PB canal salmon on the same soft plastic, that was many years ago though.

More great entertainment Dylan.Have fished a bit with the nuggets and have a bit of a problem keeping them on the hook, but will keep persevering

Yep plenty of fish to go round, good thing is I have a vacuum pack machine. Best thing I have at home, such a life saver!

Looks can be deceiving bro, fished all morning and day just for a few fish. Lance was soft baiting up further and got onto a few, fishing wasn’t very good that day but we got onto a couple each etc

Also what is rating for your main line (Braid) and leader? PE1 and 8lb leader with 4lb dropper for the sinker sound about right?

hi what canals are you fishing if i wanted to go fishing there, i see there is a lot of traffic there, is it at the twizel end or tekapo or do you have a road name.

All depends who’s driving.. lance normally so around 2.5 hours 😂 but all seriousness normally around 3.5 hours from Dunedin to Twizel

Yep, only get them mainly in the South Island though. Get plenty of them in the Canterbury and West Coast rivers when they’re running. Just can be a tad difficult to find as numbers can be low

4 sports fish of which no more than 2 to be trout, No person shall in any one day take or be in possession of more than two salmon greater than 500mm
