Florida forestry has cut and tagged a new trail in Point Washington State Forest. The trail start has long been in use. It intersects with the Cassine Trail that is well-used. Before reaching Eastern Lake, the newly cut trail segment turns north avoiding the campground there to join the road to the campground. So the Cassine Trail no longer goes to Eastern Lake. The painted blue blazes have been scraped and replaced by pink metal tags, nailed on.
