I spent the summer of 75 searching NYC to find this score, and everyone was sold out of the import. ANyone who had been deeply changed by the film wanted it, I suppose. I finally found it by mail in L.A. as a British import. I played it to death. Remains my fvaorite Donaggio piece, and one of my favorite scores, too.
My favourite film, and this piece, underscores the most beautiful and erotic love scene ever. I feel tearful every time I hear it. I’ve tried to find sheet music for piano, with no luck. Does anyone know where I might get it?
I love this music, and I thought the film was pretty decent!! I would not say it is a horror film as it is said to be. It is more of the mystery thriler that builds up to a shocking conclusion! I love this music director (same one who did music for CARRIE and PIRANHA). I would rate this film a 4-4.5 star rating out of five. Both Julie Christie and Donald Sutherland performed their parts well.
I would definetly called a "horror movie", and I wold argue that it lacks the intense pacing that usually define a "thriller" (thought horror thrillers are far from an unheard genre). To me is a slow, powerful and tragic horror film about grief, lost and fate. One of my favorite films
