Didn't really like the movie as a whole, but i loved the atmosphere, the ending, and Pino's excellent music, i think he's really underrated as a composer
Watched last night but saw at movies in 1974 before heading overseas and going to venice, was just like the movie - eerie and beautiful. This movie is a masterpiece bu it is nicolas roeg.
YT MUSIC TUNAY ZONE 🌖🌕🌔
It’s not particularly like Bach’s minuet, I don’t think. This 1973 piece written by Pino Donaggio, is far superior to the music from The Notebook (2004) in my opinion.
I’ve long loved this absolutely exquisite, heart-rending piece of music which so perfectly complements the aching melancholy of ‘Don’t Look Now.’ Y’know, I was so caught up in that final scene playing out in Euphoria’s fourth episode, that I was completely oblivious to the subtle piano notes playing in the background... so when that unmistakable, majestic swell of organ and strings eventually burst forth, I was caught as completely off guard by it as I was the very first time I heard it during my initial viewing of Don’t Look Now. I can’t begin to express just how thankful I am to have been allowed the opportunity to re-experience that glorious sensation a second time. Kudos to whoever was responsible for perfectly repurposing this extraordinary, hauntingly gorgeous, 46-year-old piece of music in a brand new setting that in absolutely no way dishonors its cherished original context.
Compare the first seconds with this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ROQQ3_f4Y-E.html It sounds very much like the opening of the German TV newsshow "Tagesschau."
