Whoever drew the storyboards was a complete genius! I love the use of light and shadow in the storyboards, there’s so much intensity and contrast, You can feel the sense darkness and fear that each of the shots give off; I wonder if they were inspired by the work of Caravaggio, as he has a similar use of lighting

The guy doing Walt Disney’s voice is Corey Burton who’s known for voicing Ludwig Von Drake in various Mickey Mouse cartoons, Captain Hook in Return to Never Land, House of Mouse, Mickey’s House of Villains, Jake and the Never Land Pirates, and the Kingdom Hearts video games, Shockwave, Sunstreaker, Brawn, and Spike Witwicky in The Transformers, Count Dooku, Cad Bane, and Ziro The Hutt in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Ansem The Wise in the Kingdom Hearts video games, Brainiac in the DC Animated Universe, Zeus in the God of War video games, and Hugo Strange in Batman: Arkham City.

that transformation scene gave me nightmares for a month.

Someone sure went around taking a lot of pictures of Disney in that striped shirt that day. I've seen some of those before but I didn't know there were so many.

Walt Disney had very good storytelling instincts, but looking at all the stuff that was in these storyboards, I think it was the wrong decision to end up not really showing much of this. I think it would have been good to have a few more scenes of all the mayhem, with just a bit more emphasis on the boys as individuals. I think it would have made the later scenes of seeing them as helpless, terrified donkeys hit harder.

I think the "dunk the teacher in ink" was supposed to represent forgetting about school, because part of how Pleasure Island was too good to be true was that one wouldn't need to go to school there.

Im sorry it was called boobyland?! How has no one joked about that?!!

Also about the "dunk the teacher in ink", if anybody here remembers the 90s computer game Midnight Rescue, the premise is that the Master of Mischief, Morty Maxwell, wants to erase the Shady Glen School with disappearing paint and the object is to capture the villain. I think the reason it's a school he wants to commit an enormous amount of vandalism on is because kids hate school and he's trying to get rid of the place kids hate.

Shame we didn't see any of these in the film, but I could understand why as they would have slowed down the pacing. They did put 4:37 into the video game based on the film in a way though, where after a roller coaster ride, you have to dodge fireworks Lampwick sets off below the track.

The coachman must be extremely loaded. He probably spends a fortune after another repairing pleasure island after he lures all these bad boys to destroy it. He probably uses most of the money he makes from selling donkeys to repair pleasure island and pay his workers and he gets little out of it.

Does anybody think an amusement park would have attractions like: The Rough House Come in here and pick a fight! You don't need a reason! Model Home It's open for you to destroy! (Wikipedia says a model home is a functional house that has just been built and is available for purchase, with furniture set up inside so people can have an idea of what the house will look like when it is lived in and one can often buy it with the furniture.)
