For my hunting, the Tek Point/ F Pulse have been the best. I lost my fpulse in the woods but luckily I had a new Tek point waiting. I got 3 trouble free years of hard use from that fpulse. Awesome. I then used the pulsedive and a couple others including the MI6. Still use that with the DEUS. But I use the Tek point at all other times.
nice show Reb...when the T2 says a target is 4 or 5 inches down the tekpoint picks it up...somewhere close to the 5 inch mark it starts missing ...can't tell you how much time this saves when park hunting...it's AMB...American Muscle Baby
Im about to buy my first pinpointer, to be used as a stand alone effort for relic hunting and coins etc... My contenders are the XP MI-4, 6 and the Tek point and the fisher pulse ...so for beginner the Fisher or one of the others ?
I like the fissure Fpulse but being as sensitive as it is it tends to overload on the side walls of my hole and also when I think im right on the target i cant find it because it’s actually 2-3 inches deeper down. A pinpointer should be just that “a pinpointer “. It should not beep until you are right close to the target. I also don’t like all the pinpointers that detect up the shaft because they also overload on the side walls. Whites figured this out pretty quick and came out with the trx bullseye pinpointer. It only detects at the tip and not up the shaft. Too bad they went out of business because that’s the best pinpointer i ever had.
Thanks for commenting. The TRX is no longer in production that i know of. I always find with a start up in my soil i dont have many issues. But i seldom use mine in full sensitivity. Most of the time im in the middle setting. But always appreciate input. Thanks...Reb
Here’s a little trivia for you. Did you know the same engineer had a hand in designing both the TRX and the F-Pulse. Carl Moreland (Geotech) worked for whites and is now at First Texas. The TRX and Tek-Point (same as F-pulse) are the deepest pinpointers ever seen and are both my favorites for different reasons. The Garrett Carrot doesn’t even rank in my top 5 anymore.
