I have NEVER been able to put mascara on without a million smudges on my eyelids. I'm 60 years old by the way. It's so bad, I put the mascara on first, then the shadow. If I didn't apply mascara in that order, I would surely wipe it off cleaning up the many smudges. You did that effortlessly.
