Great tutorial ! Thx for all the time and effort you put into this. Played with my 78 year old dad when he was visiting and I will cherish those memories forever!
Thanks for the mini tutorial for this awesome front end. It was well done. Not too long, easy to understand. I'm not new to VPX, but I'm new to the popper and was able to pick up a few good tips! ⚪⚪
Nailbuster, just wanted to thank you for all of the effort, time, and work you put into this great hobby helping to make it so much better for all. You Rock!!!
Thank you for this and for all you do! I am just starting my journey this weekend and it's a bit overwhelming. Just got everything installed but have a couple issues I'm trying to resolve so I've posted on the FB page.
Just passing on my thanks for your time, effort and expertise. I'm in the process of my first VPin cabinet build which has now slowed to a crawl having just installed Baller Installer! Your videos are well produced and of course the back end work you do behind the scenes and under the hood is very much appreciated.
Great information, very helpful. Thank you for sharing and the labor of love in putting all of this together! Do you have anything available to explain how to add/set-up additional Visual Pinball emulators (i.e. for older .vpt tables)? Thanks again for everything!
Hi, great video as always from you. I watched some! But forgive a dumb question: I have quite a number of VPX tables running OK in cabinet mode, but VPW's "Twilight Zone" and "Die Hard Trilogy" start in desktop mode. How can I get them to start in cabinet mode? Thanks so much in advance!
Nevermind, I found out: In VPX you have to click on the "two small pinballs" button and change it to "cabinet" there (and "rotate" it by 270 degrees). You see the orientation of the table in the middle of the screen as a simple graphic. Maybe this can help somebody. Thanks anyway for the great work!
Thanks David. You're the best. Any possibility of adding a resolution converter from 1920x1080 to 1280x1024 to fullDMD? I have to use hand brake software to convert every fullDMD to fit the 4:3 monitor I use for the DMD. If not, no worries, you have done so much for the vp community already! Thanks again.
Good day, i have a question. I want to make One pincab arcade and I have Big Box of launchbox. Is possible to launch It from pin-up popper? Grate job with pin-up popper Is fantastic
CONFIGURE PINUP VPIN BUTTONS TUTORIAL: If you haven't configured your pinball/arcade buttons they won't work while you're trying to navigate Popper to cycle games, start games, go back etc. Go into the PinUp Folder (located on Desktop) and double click PinUp Popper Config. Once opened select "Popper Setup" on the upper tab and click Controller Setup. Simply double click a Button Control, and the row will be highlighted in blue. Press the button on your VPIN that you'd like to correspond to that function (and take note of the keyboard key as well in case you need to use the keyboard). I only have 7 buttons on my VPIN so I didn't need every function. For example I set the Right Flipper Button as "Game Next" and the Left Flipper as "Game Prior" etc. Hope that helps everyone who needs it as I didn't see it covered in the video. Also I didn't record the playfield for 30 seconds, as it took forever to process, I just did about 3-5 seconds for Playfield and backgless since I'll be zooming by them and they loop anyway.
Thank you for *everything* you've shown me over the last few days. Always wanted to build a cab with the cool menu frontend but have given up so many times in the past. After finding the baller-installer and watching these vids everything is set up beautifully!
awesome videos, i having issue with tables run fine with vpx but when launch through the pinup popper(baller installer) only back glass is display, no playfield or dmd?
How do I change my Default Launcher for VPX to 10.8 ? I know how to make an ALT-Launch for a particular table to 10.8, but I want 10.8 to be the default. How do I do that?
Hi, my name is Candy and I’m new to virtual pinball. I have the Ultra VP and would like to add tables. Your video is wonderful, but somewhere along the line I start getting confused and lost along the way. I’m afraid I will mess something up and then the whole thing will be ruined. Is there anyway you could write it down for me step by step so I could add a table. I don’t have a a computer, but I do have and HP laptop with the latest version of windows. Your help would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks in advance Candy
Hopefully you've resolved this on your own, but in case you haven't... When you launch the Pinup Popper Baller Installer, which is by far the easiest way to do any of this, one of the first steps in the wizard is your cab's display layout. You'll be able to choose from a single display (playfield only), two displays (playfield and back glass), or three displays (playfield, back glass, separate DMD). The wizard then takes you through the physical setup which is quite easy. You can alternatively do all of this in the PinupPopperSetup utility but it's less straight forward.
Works great for vpx files, but it it’s a 7,8 or 9 I cannot add it for some reason, I can set it up and play it , but if I go to add it it doesn’t show up. Also future pinball, need a vid on adding them too!!
in my case 4 screens It's not the DMD that doesn't work When I go to Future Pinball and I'm choosing tables, the image appears in the correct position This is the image I put on pinup popper but when I select a table, these images, which were supposed to remain fixed, come out in another position This is the setting I need to get right for them to stay in place dmd and topper
You be followed the baller installer video and this one to the letter and I can’t get any B2S backglsss to appear that I put in with my table, and they table and B2S file name are exactly the same
What if you don't want to store all your tables on your C drive? How can you add them? PinUP Popper is installed on my C drive but it's small so I want to keep my tables on another internal drive.
Good Morning, I wrote you once before . I have the Ultra VP from Rec Room world and the game Diablo will not load up and gives me a error message C:\vPinball\VisualPinball\Tables\diablo.UltraDMD’ does not exist. No graphics images will be displayed on the DMD. I figure there is something that didn’t checked during the install. Hope you can make a suggestion. This is a great game. Thanks for making PinUp Popper! Roger
In Media Manager, when I click on an internet icon for any of the cabinet sections, I get the error "Socket Error #11001 Host not found." I don't see anything about this on Discord. Any ideas?
I must be stupid or something. I can’t find a single video that can explain to my dumb ass how to add table and make this stuff work. Anyway thanks for trying but nothing I’ve download from vpunivers says rom on it and even if is did I couldn’t tell where you said to paste it anyway. I will go look for some roms somewhere
Hello , great video BTW I am getting a MsgBox error with title Pinup Popper Config Socket Error #11001 Host not found , when trying to download media for games thx
Ok I’m watching your video on how to install new tables, I would like to remove the table Diabio which will not load properly than reinstall it. What must I do first The error message says At the top :VBsript then C:\vPinball\VisualPinball\Tables\diablo.UltraDMD’ does not exist. No graphics images will be displayed on the DMD.
