Nice deck that I truly enjoy!!! The fast forward & rewind working is a good sign. If by some chance the tape stops at mid reel, Put the player in record mode. Push the pause lever on and off too shake loose any oxidation on that solenoid switch that activates the play mode a few times. Other than that you need to actually deoxit the switch underneath the bottom panel by removing the board covering the switches 👊🏾
I recently just bought and paired it with a pioneer sx-650 and currently on the hunt for a 1250 or bigger. What is paired with this video? Speakers and amp please and my ff and rw where working perfect and now rw is acting a little slow. Hopefully it is just the tape
@@naglfarstalker It's probably the secondary counter belt that needs replaced. If it was the primary, the play function would shut off after a second or two. The secondary is very easy to access and replace, after removing the wood casing. You may even be able to fix it by using a rubber band but a proper drive belt is recommended.
